Interesting article on Magna. If that’s who the latest RNS is about the potential for getting their tech into a lot of vehicles is pretty big.

I noticed on the Linked profile for John O’Hara, Magna Electronics President, there’s a video for their in mirror DMS system. In the list of people who ‘liked’ it are at least 6 Seeing Machines employees (including PM) and a couple from Valeo. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything of course, but on the other hand I didn’t spot any of the other DMS providers liking it. I might have missed some though... it was a long list!

Presumably they are all queued up on a computer in Canberra waiting for the cars to hit the dealerships!

I was thinking if that is the case then they would be more likely to want a full asset buyout so they can do the exploration required to prove up all the assets and then sell the majority stake on. All conjecture of course but what else can we do at the moment!

One thing I’ve been wondering about is would Anglo be reluctant to be the major player given the class action lawsuit filed against them over the historical issues in Kabwe with lead poisoning? Would they prefer a less controversial company leading the project and just hold a lower stake? That seems to have been their MO in the past so it might be the case here too.

Magna mirrors division is based in Ontario, Canada. Not too far away in Manitoba is Bison Transport, who Seeing Machines signed a Guardian deal with about 18 months ago. Hmmmm ;-)

There was some discussion recently over the future market demand for PGM’s with the transition to electric vehicles. Here is an interesting article about the potential for PGM usage in lithium batteries, not just in cars but potentially any lithium battery.

I must say I haven’t paid much attention to Jungo but looking at that demo video, it looks a bit basic when compared with the Seeing Machines demo, more like a university project than a polished product. It may function perfectly well but first impressions aren’t that great in my opinion.

Sorry shivers, I hadn’t see your post, it was in response to Frog. Fair enough at 80% it makes sense to de risk a bit, hope you made a decent profit on it! Personally I was happy to sit and wait when the share price was 3p and I’m delighted to do the same at 16p. My risk is a bit more spread but JLP is still my largest holding and I’m comfortable with that. Of course I’d like more news flow like everyone but I don’t agree that they don’t care about it. Leon does lots of interviews and presentations when there is something of substance to talk about and I’m sure we will see more over the coming months.

It's dissapointing that they are referring to JLP as a PGM miner though.

I wonder if it might be connected with the drop in target price for Qualcomm stock yesterday? Just speculation as with seemingly so much good news just around the corner I don’t see any other reason for it to drop.
