Great to see Jubilee take its first steps out of Africa, I think it will be the first of many over the coming years! I guess we might see Leon doing some interviews off the back of this news, I’d be interested to know if Jubilee found this opportunity or if Caerus came knocking on our door.

The acquisition will be subject to the Company completing due diligence and the entry into definitive legally binding documents. There can be no guarantee that the acquisition of Alvis will be completed.

The Licenses, covering over 210km2, are approximately 10km south east of the large underground Zone 5 project, where the 60kt Cu and 2Moz of Ag production per annum is due to ramp up in the second half of 2021. See picture below/attached.

These exploration Licenses have extensive geochemical and geophysical data and have walk-up drill-ready targets.

He’s also listed as manager at Cupriferous Resources which is Mushinge’s company... strange coincidence eh? :-)

For new investors who may not have seen it, it’s worth having a look at this old presentation from 2019, page 11 in particular, which lists the potential targets in order of potential importance as defined by Anglo American in the 1990’s. Our targets are right up at the top of the list. Not even in the top 20 was Kalumbila which was eventually sold to First Quantum for $260M. Last year it produced something of the order of $2Bn worth of copper!

I think they are more convinced that we may have a decent chunk of it! Imagine that we had say 20% of the missing copper, at todays prices that’s $50 billion and prices are forecast to increase further. What would be a fair price to acquire those assets? I certainly don’t expect NvS to settle for a cheeky low offer.

Referring back to the RNS on the exclusivity agreement:

“ Arc Minerals ("Arc") announces that it has received a formal notice from Anglo Exploration Zambia Ltd ("Anglo American") dated 6 January 2021 that, following due diligence, it is sufficiently satisfied to give notice to conduct negotiations in respect of a commercial transaction prior to the expiry of the extended exclusivity period of 180 days, commencing in January 2021.”

I would say that is pretty unambiguous, the intent is to try and agree terms before the end of the current EA in June. In my opinion the planned drilling is just common sense on ARC’s part, plan for the worst case (no deal agreed) so that no time is wasted.

If you’re interested in the regional geology its worth watching David Woods presentation on geology of the Copperbelt. It is very technical but worth watching the last few minutes where he proposes that a conservative estimate of potential copper reserves over the dome region is 30 million tonnes. Sentinel is around 5 million tonnes so there are something of the order of 25 million tonnes potentially still to be found.... and we have the best known targets.

Haven’t you heard that copper is the new oil? Personally I’ve been burned by junior oil companies too many times, I think I’ll stick with JLP thanks.

There will be plenty who jumped onboard on the back of Simon Thompsons tip, made a quick 10% today and then alighted at the next station... good luck to them, however I’m happy to keep riding the train and see where it takes me. When I think back 12 months ago, we were sitting at 3p.... where will we be in another 12 months? I try not to get too caught up in short term fluctuations, there will be plenty of them along the way I’m sure.

Dore, presumably as a long term holder you are doing very nicely at the current share price and will continue to benefit from considerable future growth... I really don’t understand what a small dividend at this stage will do for anyone.

Agreed Nelson, pushing ahead with Kabwe ASAP is not only the right thing to do from a humanitarian viewpoint, it will also keep the Zambian government onside and also generate fantastic PR for the company and might create new opportunities in other countries.

The plan was to do the airborne geophysics first to better locate drilling targets. They may have started the survey already but going on what happened the last time there was an RNS issued shortly after the survey started. Even if the primary intention was to show AA we were ready to push ahead without them, I would imagine they would still want to get on with the survey / drilling even if a deal is already agreed as it would be advantageous to both parties.

Yes they closed the message boards down within the last few weeks.

Goldman Sachs forecasting copper could be as high as $15,000 / tonne by 2025. Arc gets a mention too.

I’m sure we are all familiar with Warren Buffet’s wise words:

“ The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient”

Never has that been more appropriate than with this company! If you haven’t got the patience to sit and wait for a potentially life changing payoff then you might as well give up investing and buy a lottery ticket.

Mine was with Interactive Investor, they said it was just due to shear volume of applications. In the end it wasn’t a big deal to wait although I’d have been annoyed if we’d had a big announcement before I got it done! I’d say 3 days was pretty good going!

Container ships are usually pretty quick turnaround, I think 12 to 24 hours is fairly typical. If we get a vessel name for the testing it will be quite easy to check the routes that its doing and get a gauge of what percentage of time it will be in port.

The scoping / feasibility study for the MSC trials should have been completed by last week (3 months from 21st Jan), hopefully we will get an update shortly for phase 1 of the testing. That should give us a better idea how long the test or tests are likely to take.
