It was a very bold, possibly foolish, statement to make. JV will involve some dilution of existing shareholders - we assume. It might be a very small dilution or it might be a gradual ramp to 49% ownership. No one knows but the board would be idiots to accept anything that would kill the massive prospects that lay before us. We shall see, there are many agenda driven posts here. Let's have a realistic discussion with clear reasoning. Please, we all want to make money and a couple bags on JV announcement is what many expect based on what the company has said.

Management need to take their time to strike the best deal possible. LB group will fund the initial construction then all other funding will be a direct swap for equity. What might work best is if CMET use it's own profits to fund the further plant Capex. Or at least to minimise the stake that LB will have. Otherwise, it's a barely disguised buyout for pennies by the back door. I wouldn't accept such a deal and no decent self-respecting PI should.

A week from Xmas, the JV will be next year now. It's more important that they get the deal right. A rubbish deal based on dilution isn't what we want.

We need to see the actual JV. I don't doubt that there are some issues that need clarity. No shareholders will vote for a crap, daylight robbery deal. The company is not in financial distress ATM. I think that different opinions are ok, but let's wait for the facts.

I wasn't suggesting misinformation from you. More a certain perspective that is usual. I don't see that the board would accept a deal that would shaft all current shareholders. Also, the current shareholders will need to approve, no? Will they accept terms so bad that they'll never see a profit never mind a couple bags? I wouldn't, LB will have to be very clear in its terms that they won't destroy the SP and buy for pennies. The board would see that coming a mile off. Sorry.

There Mcap is ridiculously low. The fact that we haven't simply been bought out is encouraging. It means that the board actually want return good value to their shareholders. There needs to be more details on the JV, that's the next step.

The company isn't worth $81M currently, so it makes you think how that's possible. They might get 50% of the shares, not sure to be honest. I think that their payment is profits not equity or share capital. They take 50% of the profits. There is a lot of misinformation on here. Just do your own reading and make your choice...

Should be able to proceed I imagine. I doubt the JV will be before Jan 2024 though. That will be the real ignition because at that point all the potential becomes real.

They might just extend to the New Year. The last 2 weeks of December are always disrupted by holidays. They wouldn't have been looking for investor cash if they thought we were a week away. Lawyers take there time as well.

Agreed Paul, considering the very low SP - they seem to be taking liberties. Why not just pay 5p? A JV and mine construction would increase their investment 8 - 10 fold.

I think that the JV announcement could come anytime. New Year construction start is clearly on schedule. A great time to be invested. The SP could be 6x higher come January.

The SP is very low at the moment, ridiculous really. I would expect 25-30p with offtake and deal done. No reason why not, first revenue would be a year away. Once everything is underway, including port reopening, could be 40+p easily.

What has happened here? I bought low but it's surprising to see the SP drop so much. I think that OBD need revenues and that's the starting point. More trials, optimisations and acceptance of PSE will only take place after spending the big bucks. Private US labs testing is the starting point not the end. I think everyone here wants to see this do really well.

It's such a shame. 5 years ago we had a very strong company. Seems UK just can't get the renewables business off the ground. They had the planning permission, they just had to build the SAF refinery. It's beggars belief that they couldn't secure the funding to get what would have been a very profitable home grown business. I sold a while ago but always hoped VLS would recover.
