Interesting
I'm certainly much more worried about the price of Sound than I am a no deal exit from the EU.
Although I'm partial to padron peppers and I understand these would be affected in the event of no deal, the season is now coming to an end and hopefully a suitable trade deal with Portugal will be in place by next Summer to restore supplies.
Ironically JTF is against Brexit but stockpiles of Spam will last for years so actually he is probably better prepared than most of us!

'Crash out' what a rediculous thing to say!
Most countries have already agreed to continue with current arrangements in the interim, both Calais and Dover port have agreed no checks at ports so it really won't be as bad as has been made out.
Boris has a deal, if we leave with no deal you can blame the Lib dems and Labour and SNP
Deal will be done in $ regardless and fluctuation will be 2-3%, a small price to pay I think.
Anyway I'm hoping part paper deal with UK listed stock so that might see appreciation if deal ratio is already set.

Sorry Longwait, I was only joking, please don't go.
It often happens that one person posts something only for it to be repeated again later and liked several times. I think the fact you posted your comment in the evening when there were trolls about didn't help. The humbug comment was a direct quote from Boris and was meant as a joke. I apologise
Rediculous indeed. All us leave voters are thick, but at least we can spell.
;o)
The government have not blocked a no deal exit. The surrender act required PM to seek an extension if no deal agreed. The EU have now said no extension so they either agree the deal or don't either way we are out on 31st.
GLA
Just heard no extension to Brexit delay from Junker, that's it we are out on 31st!
Now come on JP get your deal announced too!
GLA
LW I have never heard such Humbug in all my life!

Agree KTF, frustrating as it is the radio silence is completely in line with what we were told at the FSC. I believe that the marketing process will have finished by now and the silence suggests to me that we have offer(s). Whether they are acceptable we have no idea. The (fact) that Our lord JP was in country last week according to Crude suggests that he was selling the deal to the authorities in Morocco.
Not sure if the outcome will be great, good or rubbish but the silence is entirely expected.
GLA
Did he tell you to book a holiday on the back of it and say that anyone that went out definitely wouldn't get wet? Get where I'm coming from?
GLA
Based on some of today’s posts I’ve decided to change my investment strategy in future.
Our lord JP is a few years younger than me and certainly a good few years younger than many others on here (except Mittytentoes who made £10m in his early 20’s)
In future I will only be investing in companies with a CEO at least my age and preferably older, that way they are incentivised to conclude transactions and raise the share price before they get too old to enjoy the spoils!
To Ian and all posters suffering poor health at the moment I wish you well. Health is more important than shares.
GLA
Agree totally JTF.
Our lord JP is guilty of being over zealous with his hype and I bet he is feeling embarrassed. As you say if he delivers an LE which matches his promise that 'no one will lose out at these levels' then I think he can rescue his reputation.
GLA
Partridge I actually enjoy it when Mittytentoes posts. It makes me remember that money isn't everything and that even making multi millions on shares won't make you a nicer person. If you are a ***** to start with you will remain a ***** regardless of the amount of 'coin' you have.

Expect the BB will now descend into a Spartacus scene of 'I'm JamesParsons'
Trader I thought you were James? Thought it was our lord JP trying to manage expectations!
Really big sells Trader? where are you looking exactly? If there was the slightest whiff of a leak the volume would have been off the scale and there really would have been some big sales.
One sale of 500,000 shares is not a big sell off
GLA
Why would you get that pattern of trading? That's not normal course of trading is it? No one normally thinks 'I need to sell £750 worth of shares, I'll just sell them as 10 small trades. Dealing costs must be around 10% of the total.
Bizarre!
Crude I was waiting for the first poster to start the 'we haven't heard from the Chief Executive, therefore the company is going bust' rumour about Chuckle Bros Gas!
It's very typical of this board that silence is taken as impending doom rather then being indicative of the board simply getting on with the task that they said they were going to do!
Then again it is out of character, JTF was happy to trumpet about Chuckle Bros and never missed an opportunity to promote the company so maybe what you are saying is true? I must start referring to him as the Big Jobbie or something?
GLA
Greg I assume you mean JTF? STZ is his brother, don't mix the two of them up.
Jez will either be at the post office with his weekend's worth of ebay parcels or he will be at home above the chip shop working on his Spam recipes. Hopefully he'll be along shortly to break the boredom here.
