There’s a bit of panic selling for sure. To be expected and unfortunate for some. However that doesn’t in any way , shape or form explain the preceding drop / Bilbos tide going out analogy. As has been pointed out , the volumes aren’t anything much and the whole area is simultaneously ‘managing’ an identical performance. There is a higher force at play and I for one vote to string them up. Could be wrong of course ...... maybe a kick to the nuts would be better....

So the tide returns ( in part ) with some having very unluckily caught a dose of crabs? It doesn’t seem to me that the sells dried up and the buys moved in. Something stinks as is often the case at low tide.

I have a theory that if Smithy will agree to get out and start talking £1.75 again that could get us back on track? Ever since he’s come back on board and started talking positively the rug has been pulled. Smithy? What about it? ( you’ve got to try and laugh about it.... not easy ).

If you can believe the sell/buy volumes on here since the drop started then in actual fact the drop is nonsense. A few people selling up , big deal. There will be contract news , be certain if that. It drops quickly it will go up quickly. Hard to moan about it given where we are versus a year or so ago. Hard on recent investors though.

There’s a few dot.com companies that came through their bubble and are household names now. For the most part dot.com was a bandwagon job built on companies with no substance to them. This is a different scenario , for sure some tag a longs are over priced and may fail , ITM is most definitely not in that category. Their current valuation is perceived by some as being high. Is it? Move along a few years and this survivor should be priced way higher than now. Just look at the numbers involved. The other point when comparing with dot.com is that whole area was new , it wasn’t a takeover job. This is . The demise and replacement of FF’s , the need to cleanly fuel the planet , the need for change. No worries here. My opinion only.... etc etc

Presumably though , the States are behind the game with Biden about to change that? Meantime SP’s closer to home may provide less potential moving forward? Not saying this is my belief , more interested in peoples views.....?

Personally very happy with ii. If you trade frequently they are really cheap. My SIPP isn’t with them (yet.....) but again I understand they are about the cheapest on fees. Don’t know much about anyone else though.

Astounding Friday morning RNS , massive new contract with worldwide implications. Need to get the 2nd factory on the planning board , SP has shot to a new record in the lower £Teens. Top of the leader board...... huh ..... Doh ..... just a dream.... oh well, at least it’s bounced a bit. Holding tight.

I can’t say I agree with the big offloader theory , or the “Noisy Share” explanation etc etc. Quite simply the whole area is down in the same way that for many months the whole area was up. This was kind of expected. My problem is how does it happen , with no obvious signs of mass selling versus buys? It is quite obviously manipulation of sorts. It suits the powers that be to have volatility , they make more money if it goes up and down , there is opportunity created. Nothing has changed , we are invested in the most exciting industry , the world is going our way. Consequently at some point we will be enjoying the ups again. Personally I have bought quite a few shares this morning. I will no doubt be in the red for a while and whilst it’s not much fun seeing your paper profits recede I fully expect to be even better off some time fairly soon. All IMO , make your own minds up and the very best of luck.

I think “joy” would be pushing it Sheppy , at least in my experience.

The better you know a company the more you have a gut feel for it’s volatility. You know it will drop back , you know it will recover. Occasionally your gut feel tells you you really don’t know what’s likely to happen so you play safe. It is also possible to be a long term holder and play a portion of your holdings. That way you make a few £ on your plays and ensure you don’t miss out if it suddenly rises. The recent downs and ups lowered my overall holding costs by about £15k. A bit of fun but it can add up. Good luck whatever your strategy.

Hard to call JK and harder on this area than most others because it’s pretty volatile. Tend to agree with Toneman , play the volatility? Otherwise take your profit and put it elsewhere (BP looks cheap....). The problem is , this thing moves fast. It’s not long ago that us old timers were bemoaning an SP of 25p when we could see the possibilities/developments that are actually reaching fruition now. Looking forward , an announcement re green H2 and the national grid and your 50p profit will feel like a kick in the proverbials. Tricky. Good luck!
