Hi Task. It seems Captain Dennis has previous piloting experience. That , combined with everything that’s happening in the world gives me every faith that £3.90 will seem cheap pretty soon. Nothing guaranteed of course , especially with this one. Glad I’m holidaying in Suffolk and not Sicily that’s for sure.

Where do you see the entire EV market ( its extent , it’s evolution etc, ) in the medium to long term and why? Where will / could FCV’s slot in? Best guesses welcomed.

Appreciating your necessary ‘Ask me anything’ deadline do you intend to follow this forum (time permitting) ie. Do we have a burner phone to the ITM gods?

This kind of announcement would have resulted in a major SP hike not that long ago. Too many false dawns I guess. That said , if the new CEO is a more grounded type I suspect decent sales news around the corner. Big projects need big facilities. Major contracts need confidence in capabilities or the Montblanc won’t be required.

Meant to add that this (surely) has to do an about face soon. 23/24 ISA allowance will be finding a home here.

Too many people , (governments, energy companies , commentators) busy fiddling with themselves while Rome burns. God help the younger generation and those to come. Can the people in charge really be SO dumb , so self obsessed? Heads in sand , fingers up orifices.

With the way things are (arguably) regressing on the EV front and the gradual dawning that switching from FF to battery does not represent progress in so many ways , my gut feel is that Motive will be a huge entity one day. Whoever owns it and in whatever format the scale of opportunity is bigger than my calculator buttons. Not saying we should keep it but it seems to me that you either get rid or you invest enough to hatch the chicken. EV problems as a whole are at the very early stage and in my view about to increase exponentially as more people are , in their own minds , forced to switch. Just wait for the numpty who conks out on the fast lane of the M25….. or any major highway for that matter.

Lamp post charging sounds like one endless game of dodgems with fights thrown in. Hard enough to find urban parking places without having to shuffle periodically. BEV = Marginal Progress + Regression in many respects. Just looking at purchasing a new car myself but struggling to justify my favoured GLE 350 hybrid option because prices are massively inflated. There isn’t a BEV which comes close to my needs.

Some of us have been predicting this EV chaos for donkeys…….. and it’s barely started yet. They call it progress??

Just not the completely pointless exercise of going to the moon , Mars etc etc. Quite happy if Musk moves there but please let’s focus on saving this planet and use what money there is sensibly.

On a serious note this wouldn’t have been needed if governments had had some foresight but then that’s the problem when long term decisions are left to the last moment and MP’s are most concerned with getting re-elected and not much else.

Suggest some of these fools look out of the window today. Miserable , cold and 2mph winds with a similar forecast for the next few days. Idle wind turbines , little solar input and therefore increasing pressure to poison the planet with Ff’s and nuclear. Commission a surplus of renewables and store the damn energy when you can. No brainer or no planet.
