During the crisis in 2007/2008 - goldplat dropped 20% at the worst point in the crisis (I know, I was holding goldplat then!)

once the dust began to settle, goldplat and others powered out of the traps and hit new highs over the following months and in goldplats case, kept hittting new highs until the all time high of 16.49p in 2012.

This time though, goldplat is stronger to begin with and there is more chance of gold going higher - back in 2008/9 we started the bull run, now we are closer to the end of it.

That all time high of 16.49p has a high probability of being smashed in the gold bull market we are seeing now.

it was a baby and bathwater sell off last week and most were dumping gold to meet margin calls - hence the largest one day drop since 2013.

Gold miners followed suit across the board - the drop was not limited to goldplat.

Buyers coming back in, gold up, fear up and miners will be moving up, if not already doing so.

Goldplat is a buy.

AC was telling the truth at the time of the announcement as always. We had this with M66 etc, whereby he announced 50bopd or whatever it was and then we heard nothing more - many months later we read the accounts or the MD and A and there it is buried in there, that the production dropped off to virtually nothing or words to that effect.

he would argue that he could not predict what would happen with the well, once the RNS had been released and that changes to flow rates in wells generally aren't RNS'd - E.G bigger players do not tell you if a well drops off by a few hundred bopd.

This stock was good for trading and I did well out of it, however, it hasn't been much good for that over the last year.

AC shown his colours - radio silence means issues, talking something up is where his focus is and sod the rest.

Personally and it is only a guess - is he going after the Ezzaouia field in Tunisia - that used to kick out around 700bopd if i recall.

i suspect that wheels were in motion back in november - we got that last tweet showing the bd260 de rigging and then nothing.

Ac probably got a whiff, that he was going to be hauled across the coals over his failure in the contract rehab area and called a halt to all further work - pending clarification.

he was probably trying to argue a discount, better terms etc etc and they wouldn't budge and said that AC had time to decide what to do - he folded, hence sudden deals elsewhere - which I suspect he had been pouring over for months.

AC said the exploration activities in Azer would continue and it is just the contract rehabilitation area that is being handed back - this in my view means the new well should still go ahead and that the BD260 will remain in azer.

Exploration - 25-Year REDPSA

Dean is getting full access to the entire area by his investments in Zenith energy and greenfields petroleum - this enables him a say in operations covering the onshore fields of zenith and some of the offshore fields of greenfields.

his holding in block energy give him exposure to the same region, just in georgia to the north.

he has just over 9% in zenith - has maintained his level of exposure at periodic purchases after raisings and taken part also.
he has just over 2.54% in block
and 13.54% in greenfields petro.

he runs a private hedge fund out of barbados and has done since 2015. He is the Chief investment officer there. His main background is that of a derivatives trader from cibc oppenheimer, sg warburg, merril lynch between 1989 and 2001 - he moved to run a private hedge fund out of france for 13 years, before running this one in barbados.

My view is that he is positioning this hedge fund to capitalise in this region with the TANAP and other pipelines going online officially as at November 2019 - there is more at stake here than just these companies - it is about rerouting and supplying, rather than just the commodity in the ground.

thordon - not all are going to be retail traders paying that kind of commission on each trade - market makers aren't paying to trade in the same manner and at the same price levels.

have a good weekend also hepseal - getting the stock on the cheap when the market is being completely irrational over everything is what we want, when on the buy side. We should all do well, even if some of us do manage to scratch a few hundredths of a penny off the purchase price!

yep - I only managed that 75k shares at 3.5p - went through 15.55
