Wilk I've done it many times. I was about £7000 down in a share I was in for nearly 2 years - when I was £8000+ up I sold because I'd been in it so long. And because I didn't want to give the profit bacn to the market. The share still had legs though so as far as the investment case it was still valid. So as a new investor I would have happily entered at the price I sold. But I don't have unlimited funds and I had other things to invest in. We can't lie and say part of investing isn't emotional and for the buzz of winning.
