Can they bring out the interims early? Only of they don't look terrible that is, otherwise I don't think there is anything else the board can do they can't buy during this period. Annoying that somebody is selling their shares on the cheap to SAG and it's looking likely to cost us all. It's either one of our II's or just impatient PI's... September is 1 week away not 7 years.

Maybe it's because I'm just an old stickler but you are right about previous management ignoring shareholders and the BOD will likely have to pay for that.

I do think you do tend to gloss over that a lot of the consulting done is not your run of the mill consultancy and the AI element and expertise that comes with these high barrier space, defence, technology and aerospace contracts can be very lucrative when you have little competition. You do make it sound like TPG is just a bunch of IT contractor's which is a bit disingenuous. Remember Sapienza made a profit of €700K in the period before it was taken over and Osprey £200K. So a lot of this value destruction has been TPG's doing, not centralising and not addressing ballooning costs, look at Lift BV what a waste of money that was and investing millions into engineering for no returns. I can see a future for TPG as an independent if it starts to look back at the basics, it's just a shame others are so fed up that they don't have the patience for it. Like I said let's reserve judgement for the interims, the floor is 6.5p after all.

The house selling is an irrelevant analogy because correct if I'm wrong here but TPG isn't up for sale. Really this is starting to get tedious and we shouldn't be arguing amongst ourselves. SAG are 100% trying to extract value here and it seems there are people on here that just don't see it, TPG is worth more than the offer price and SAG know it. The interims could change the game somewhat and I really cant understand people wanting to sell before they have seen those fundamentals to chew over, if there has been progress 6.5p should not even be coutenanced.

Take what money? Like it has already been said that puts most of us at breakeven or at a loss and that includes II's. Not going to take advice from someone who has never posted on here before and likely bought in recently, if even at all.

I wonder if there's an FCA case here to consider? Some wiser informed heads will no more than me. But surely effectively attacking and rubbishing the company while at the same time still buying shares can't surely be vanilla can it?

SAG really not winning friends here. 6.5p is not a premium when most shareholders have paid that amount at the last placing, or more than that if they have bought shares in the years since. The placing funded the acquisitions of Polaris, Westek, Sapienza and Osprey so to use SAG's own words against them, it is incomprehensible for me as a shareholder to want to pass that benefit of those acquisitions in the long term onto SAG for effectively zero benefit to me. SP is just a fluid measurement that is 95% sentiment and 5% fundamentals and is by no means any good measure of value. If you are wanting to sell your shares before seeing the interims then frankly the stock market isn't for you, the floor is 6.5p and it's a crappy offer, I don't often applaud the BOD here (usually the opposite) but make no bones this needs to be called out for what it is, the offer is insulting.

This really could go in so many directions. One thing will be certain our BOD will be nervous, everything hinges on H1 report now. An improvement on 2020 H2 and I think it's unlikely SAG will be able to force this through. A worse performance compared with H2 2020, then I expect TPG to be taken over with only a slight improvement on 6.5p with possibly as already suggested some equity thrown in.

Interesting times but it just highlights the value here is obvious and we the shareholders that have held for years will never see that value because PC was happy to throw out poor results year after year without addressing the problems behind them. TPG's costs have just been far too high. This stock always had potential and it's a shame because with better management it could have quite easily been a £100m market cap organisation which would make the current SP 14 - 15p we look likely to get less than half that and SAG will reap the rewards because they will do what previous management never seemed interested in doing, review the business and make the necessary changes to make profits.

Sell and invest for the long term at the same time. That's impossible I'm afraid, being polar opposites. As I have come across you before on other boards then it's only fair I highlight to the rest on here that you are just another pump and dump artist or a de-ramper depending on if you have taken out a short bet or want a lower price entry (my guess is the latter). It's generally not hard to tell what you are hoping for, true to form you have zero insight.

No wonder SAG didn't disclose the offer, quite frankly it's insulting. Well another vote, fingers crossed our II's will see that offer as derogatory and vote accordingly.

I can't see why anyone would vote in favour of SAG's nominees, I've been invested in shares were appointees have been forced through by "shareholders" and trust me when I say it's never for the benefit of the collective. It's usually a large II or PI trying to extract their own value. Expect AGM after AGM if successful and first thing they will do is request an unnecessary full audit of the business which will cost us a few million £, which is a distraction and one where funds are better placed elsewhere.

Dinoken the trading update did suggest a draw down of the debt facility however also highlighted cash available. If the situation was that dire then the board would have listened to the offer and the new CEO wouldn't have made the significant purchase that he did. You can speculate by all means but we will all know the financial state of play come September.

Notice how the exact offer is not disclosed, as too right the board refused to engage as if it wasn't a derogatory offer they would disclose it. Like I have said and has finally been alluded to in the RNS most of the II's and PI's here have been invested for some time here. I hope the BOD file the request for an AGM straight in the bin, if there is a vote I'm definitely not voting for Martyn Ratcliffe to join the board. If you make a bid for something and don't get a response then your bid isn't good enough. SAG have really not painted themselves in a good light here, obviously our BOD have not performed over the last 4 years anyone with eyes can see that, if PC was still CEO here they would have a stronger case but I'm happy to see what our new CEO can do, cut costs is a must this is added pressure to sort TPG out.

Ilovesushi, how many people have said that before. I don't think you could ever find a pharma company on the planet a stones throw away from a P3 that is this despised by the market. The good news, not stellar news granted has evaporated already as clearly there was selling into the rise. You could buy this morning on HL but not sell, same with a few other brokers.

SAG are too small here to push for a hostile takeover our revenue was £60M in 2020 there's was £74M. All they have is to push for a merger. Like Dactions says we have a new CEO who has already pulled the plug on the sale of maritime. Lets see what the plan for TPG is going forward and let's get excited by a takeover when it's someone like Thales, BAE or Bab**** pushing for a takeover. At the moment they own 10%, I don't think SAG can get another 10% as easily as they did the first. The market is watching now, they have shot first in a battle not a one vs one duel.

Lutra, I don't think we majorly disagree but TPG can get to 9p on it's own. It made it to 8.25 even during the pandemic last year with very few contracts won. Cut costs and start to see contract wins again in the post pandemic era and things will look very different. Make no bones here SAG have spotted a steal here and only by holding firm will shareholders see anything close to fair value.

Lutra, I'm happy to sit and hold long term as long as the group starts to cut costs, the blocker to that was PC. He has gone. 6p was the last placement, a lot of our II's bought chunks at that level so no way that should be accepted. Why should it, TPG is not at risk of imminent collapse so need for short termism. Anybody giving up there shares for 6p needs to give their head a bang, TPG was worth that in 2017 minus Sapienza, Osprey, Westek and Polaris.

I never understand when people on these boards pray for these scenarios. This is interesting but still of concern as most of us are underwater here and SAG have been able to acquire a sizeable chunk with ease. I'm not giving up my shares easily nor do I want to be part of a group I know next to nothing about. If there is no immediate need to sell then only a stellar offer is acceptable here, I don't have much faith in the board as for the most part they have been passive, but let's see if the board has a backbone.

Slift this exact point has been highlighted by the pundits many times, many an article has been written on it. But the market is generally not driven by it's morals and some producers can argue more environmentally sustainable futures than others. It's not money at all costs by all means but this will change when quarter three earnings, turn to full year results that show significant PE ratios and EPS out of whack with market capitalisation. And if it doesn't translate you will find oil companies doing share buybacks and paying out chunky dividends.

Some argue look at coal, well oil is not coal as there is no plastic replacement on the horizon. Oil companies operating in oil friendly countries have one last huzzah in them. Will I be holding equity in oil in 10 years time... unlikely, but given the rapid and continued industrialisation in Asia, Africa and South America the world hasn't reached peak oil yet. On the flipside it does appear to have peaked there abouts in western Europe.
