I’ve lost track of what’s outstanding but I hope the board finally play a blinder with it all once the new CEO is on board. It might all be a cunning plan but my faith has been tested too far now to feel much confidence. I’d be delighted to have to eat my words.
I used to think we would be telling a clear exploration story with stated milestones being stuck to and any ongoing adaptation to the roadmap presented understandably, facts all the while baking into a strengthening and stabilising share price. If I carried on at work like this board outwardly appear, I’d be in deep water. Haven’t decided how I’m voting yet.
Hi The Italian. I sympathise. When it hit 46p back in the day. I took a screen shot as my portfolio (mainly solg) was menacing a 100k profit. Yippee. I thought true value is coming any day from a corporate action, just sit back. How wrong I was.
When it had another run up to about 41p, I thought this is it. Wrong again.
The only way I’m staying sane (my version of it anyway) is pumping what I can into my ISA (things like PIN, RIT,SMT) to slowly dilute the effect of a volatile single company like Solgold has on the whole .. and otherwise trying to ignore it. If we had another run into the forties, I probably would trim a bit too. I don’t follow the board daily these days. It all got out of hand. Each to their own Strategy but interested to hear how others are riding the waves.

If you follow these things.
The only thing that matters to me is the price when the auctioneers hammer comes down on a deal. If it’s absurdly cheap, I’d hope other majors will muscle in so it goes for fair value. Many possible triggers for the race. Today’s announcements maybe shortened the odds on an earlier showdown.
Hola BNC. It’s all a worry. Got a normal trimmer but it’s a heavy thing to wave about aloft, up ladders, with a cable possessed of a death wish. The pole ones look nicely balanced with the weight of the power unit countering the snippy bit, and cordless too. Although paying a gardener would of course be the ideal !!
Thanks novice. I was looking at that epic 4m telescopic jobbie thinking it was a) big enough for a 12’ hedge but b) I needed a year at the gym to handle it for more than ten minutes. Confirmed my fears. Appreciated. ??
It’s all jolly interesting debating but I’ve reconciled myself to two things .. the price moves (1) up decisively when peeps think a corporate action is imminent, be it on the back of an exciting core, or a bankable and enticing feasibility study either making us tantalising prey, or 2) gently down from these highs while we tread the long path to production since it’s all dead money, dilution, borrowing and risk until finally revenue generating (and hence becomes another sort of company altogether). If it’s relatively well defended and solidly financed, as we seem to be, then I’d pop the kettle on and take up a new hobby. If a predator gets a hold, it will go silly prematurely and you won’t miss the action since the board will write to you with a recommendation. What will be will be. I’ve taken to feeding RIT/RCP, PIN and SMT to get some broad base exposure to lively things without screaming volatility. It’s brought great relief from watching this stock far too closely! I feel much younger as a result, hair growing back and luxuriant brown, blood pressure lower, It’s marvellous, but each to their own. Any strong views on long reach hedge trimmers? I’m thinking of getting the Shtil kombi cordless rig for Christmas.
All sorted. KID wasn’t updated by thu and Lloyds won’t let you invest without confirming you’ve read it. Normal business has resumed.
Hmmm. My lloyds share dealing account failed to execute a buy today. ‘This share is no longer traded’. Worrying. Anyone bought since Monday’s changes? Has the ticker changed? V puzzled ??
Thing is Janice, if the result of all your questioning is that Solgold is a complete bag of spanners, one has to wonder why you’ve invested at all. Doesn’t require an answer, largely because there isn’t a good one
Just thought I’d say hi to all the other long timers with perspective. I’m still here. Still fine with my little block of shares, and I’m still fine with our progress which like any chess game isn’t always transparent. Some trust required. Re Mather, he has Ethos in spades.
So, progress. Well as Churchill approximately observed after El Alamein, “it’s maybe not the beginning of the end, but perhaps it is the end of the beginning”. Sums up the last five years nicely. Continuing the analogy, we await the Attlee era with interest. Impatient people move along please.

Concur BN.C Vested interest has changed our destiny. I hope Solg can at least stay independent while proving up the pipeline but I’m sanguine about a JV or whatever at Alpala. I always thought it was a likely casualty in the survival game.
