I own a few shares in Boo. Its a cheap throw away clothing brand. Yes it was hammered by all the ethical arguments a while back. Sweat shops, environmental etc.
One thing I know for sure, experiencing several recessions, is that when money becomes tight, and it will do so more over the next year, ethics go out of the window. The public only buy what they can afford. That usually means really cheap or really expensive.
Boo are certainly positioned to take advantage of the cheap end of the market. I am expecting Boo to do very well.
Can anyone tell me how many shares will be in issue when we relist?
That will for me depend on potential growth.
How many shares will be in issue etc. Seres are at just under £600m.
Will Duncan and co still be at the helm
Not posted here for some time, probably over a year ago. All the muppets just get on my nerves. I recognise some of the posters names.
Looks like CPI are turning around, slow but surely. Great recovery stock to be in. Research and Patience are two good qualities for investing, however, few of the muppets understand this.
CPI is a bargain and a few pence fluctuation is irrelevant.
Well it seems they are still operating, which would point to the administrators favouring a going concern. Don’t forget the BOD have £1.5m to lose so I would assume they are pushing to get it back going and keep the momentum up.
However these situations always have a few twist and turns. Always best to write it off and forget it until an outcome is resolved.
May have already been posted. Astrazeneca bought an early stage (p1) cancer research company. £84m with a couple of milestones adding up to ver 1billion.
They seem hungry for early stage cancer stuff.
GLA and fingers crossed.
Not blautix
Not sure the BoD would have put in 1.5mil of their own money if they thought the science was worthless. Would you?
Hopefully be out of Administration in a few weeks.
Event
I reckon the even, or close to it, was a while ago when IR went quiet
I agree. These situations do not suddenly happen over night. The Q&A, 100% dilution, and how Duncan presented himself was a man in a desperate situation. Out of time and out of money.
That said, the company, from a scientific view point have done really well, and many, including myself, have been blinded by this point, believing that funding would be forth coming on the results.
If the scientific results were failing I would accept the situation. To have made great strides in the microbiome field and be let down by the BoD is an incompetent disaster. DP always looked like he just dragged himself out of a hedge after downing a bottle of whisky or two......even at investor presentations.
I hope there is a possibility that the whole thing can be bought out. The BoD changed, and the company can get on with delivering the results. I hope for the best, but expect the worst.
For what it is worth Im sure Duncan and Alex will try and influence this direction to save their investment.
Fingers crossed and GLA
Hi All,
Administration is not always the end game, but close to it. I'm sure Duncan does not relish the thought of losing his money, or in fact the company. As much as the buck stops with him Im sure this was not an engineered outcome.
He could end up with the company if he and others can stump up some funds. He couldn't find funds for 4D so I doubt he will be able to for himself.
That said, he is no longer in control, however, he will have some influence with the administrator.
I believe he is in a precarious position.
So 4D needs £13m for OF, or an amount acceptable to OF as full and final settlement, and then some for continued research.
My view is that the Administrator will focus initially on trying to sell the company as a going concern. Its cheap. £13m for oxford and then some for ongoing development.
The more I think about this the more I believe this will be bought at a bargain price. If they asset strip it wont be worth much. 518 has still got to be developed out. All the cost of trials etc.
4D still has momentum.
Not sure if it gets a buyer how we all stand though!
I bought a few more this morning! A bargain I thought......I still do.
I will be buying more tomorrow. Disappointed but still confident.
Still in the ‘who dares wins Rodney’ mode.
Time to buy some more at this level. I don’t think the BoD are going to be prepared to lose a couple of mil.
All the pi’s panicking. Obviously not good news to see the SP drop so low. Opportunity to reduce averages and take advantage when the good news arrives.
Hi all,
Just reading all your comments. Not seen the interview. Been working and meetings most of the day. It appears Duncan did not deliver the confidence we would have hoped. Is it available online?
Made a little profit on my mornings purchase! Must be a good omen.
Are we all buckled up in readiness for tomorrow?
Positive news I'm sure.
I bought some more this morning. With good news you ain’t gonna see 23p again.
4D are the best company in micro biome field.
Oh, and another issue always discussed ...dilution. I do not see this as failure. Many investors will if they are short term traders.
This is just a method of raising finance to get where they need to.
This time next year Rodney!
