RE: Presentation/Webinar24 Apr 2021 22:00
Hi Pander - I'll give it a shot as best I can. I'll deal with each of your paragraphs in turn.
1) world class in cost of production to be exact. You know fine well it's not referring to other factors such as scale, etc.
2) The A. D. V. F.N. Site and reddit are the best sources for these answers fyi.
3) all correct. Reason for Talitha v's Theta West is because a) Pipeline State #1 drilled in 1988 provided data from which to key off. GB/PANR managed to get hold of old cores and logs in their entirely. B) SoA awarded Unit status to Alkaid and Talitha only. Talitha well stipulated in the Unit award PLUS if opt to leapfrog Talitha and go to Theta West, the advance paperwork would tip competitors off BEFORE the auction date and also, PANR didn't have the 60k acres secured until mid-Jan '21.
4) Good question and one I also struggled with prior to the webinar. The Kuparuk logs were sensational, excellent pressure, most understood formation of all of PANR's Talitha formations thus easiest to value by sector players and debt providers. BUT it wasn't flowing as they expected? Each dataset didn't make sense....why wasn't working like it did prolifically elsewhere on the Slope? The company only received the Baker Hughes VAS analysis last Thursday (see on PANR website, dated by author on the Wednesday) which shocked them because unlike the Kuparuk EVERYWHERE else on the Slope, the Kuparuk at Talitha is oil wet. Highly, highly, highly unusual. Company plus contractors believe different completion technique plus different chemicals will allow Kuparuk to flow commercially albeit not quite with RF of water wet reservoir.
But here's the thing I didn't appreciate. Because the company/Calista/Schlum couldn't diagnose the oil character until last Thursday, they were fearful of going to BFF Lower in case the same scenario happened there too....at which point you've just compromised a second horizon in the well bore. THAT, I didn't appreciate until the Tuesday webinar. Now I do.
5) Bob Rosenthal stated PANR would release it's maiden TRR guidance on Theta West "within a month" from the date of the webinar. Expect IMHO a massive amount of attention in the US, Austin included, when AIM listed PANR announces the discovery of the second largest conventional oil accumulation in the whole of North America. Second only to Prudhoe Bay and thus larger than Kuparuk River.
