Pete - not sure about that. I know you don't get the discounted value and the proper share value - it is somewhere in between. That option would gain you the least amount of money as compared to taking up the RI and keeping long term or buying the RI and then selling straight away or buying part of the RI and selling the remainder. Hope I have got that right, anyone can jump in and correct me. All this detailed info you will get from your broker which will lay out all your options - hope that helps!

Pete if you have the money buy part of the RI for 84p , and if you can't afford to keep them sell the next day for lets say £1.30 - instant 46p per share profit. The remainder of the RI you couldn't buy sell them and the cash will be paid into your account.

Before this happens your broker will be informed of the details - normally a message explaining the details will appear in corporate actions when you log onto your account.

Sage messages like that go into your secure account in box - they sometimes, depending what it is, e-mail you telling you to check your e-mails. Pop down for a pint - I used to work with two Irishman, one from the south, the other from the north. George I am with interactive and the procedure is as follows. You would have had your initial notification of the RI from interactive, now the registrar acting on behalf of IAG will send the finer details to Interactive and they will inform you of their instructions - it's all done through Interactive Investor.
