Hi nine tails, yes was certainly surprised by his complete reversal, I look in occasionally but am not invested, I sold up before BB, my gut feeling by the amount of activity was they had problems, I was right, as you know in oil and gas furious activity usually means an intervention = problem, Ok take care good luck on this one ,I have severe reservations about this company, but we are all grown ups, greed and fear, lol

You obviously have no clue what’s going on here, the oil is commingled at Hamble anyway, the API makes no difference because it’s lost in the Whytch farm crude anyway, it’s unloaded into one of the 5 floating roof crude tanks, it’s sold into the market by Perenco of course it’s not sold by UKOG into the market, so API is irrelevant, also it will be mixed in with other small oil discharges , so oil from Stockbridge ect all get mixed in same tank, there’s a bonded jiskoot meter for measurement at road tanker unloading point, and yes I know all about Crude slates and API, don’t bother replying goodnight

None of the HHDL crude goes to Fawley, it’s added to the Wytch farm crude in one on the four 150 k barrel floating room crude tanks they fill , then they forward sell a 600 k shipping load, most of the time to Antwerp, quite common for Wytch crude to go to Antwerp, herein is the small discount that SS refers to , Perenco will charge HHDL for the privilege of using their storage facilities ,and handling the crude, this is the only route to market for small road tankers of crude in Southern England,

Nobody on here seems to understand the relationship between Hamble and Fawley, unless you know the details, which cannot be gleaned from google, then you automatically assume their is an interaction between the two, pipeline for instance, which because of where it crosses the Solent, people assume this relationship, very few people actually understand what’s going on here,and the wider implications for onshore southern oil production.

So it’s known nothing is sold directly to market, it can’t because of volume, absolutely beholden to Perenco, they take a small fee for handling, it’s in the RNS’s , 5,10, 15 dollars, who knows, but an important piece of financials that is totally unknown, they will pay what they see fit , they have to store horse hill oil , and commingle with Whytch farm oil, and when they have 600 k barrels, they will get a ship in to Hamble, because of the draught that’s the biggest carrier they can get in, Perenco currently pumping approx 11k bopd from Whytch, it amazes me how little people understand about this crucial fact, no Perenco, no export route for Weald oil on the South coast, would have to be trucked up north, I don’t know who would buy it, however from a refiners perspective, the volume produced from HH would run a mid size refiner for 8 hours, that’s if we got it all at once, dripping it at 220 bopd via tanker is a nonsense for a refiner, hence not interested in HH oil , thank goodness for Perenco

As previously pointed out ,imagine the weight of oil in a pipeline to say Hamble to HH, if you base it on Whytch you need 3 x 11kv motors for your pumps, that’s how they were able to do 110000 bopd peak,and they were constrained by pipeline, big infrastructure needed, big heavy expensive engineering, Fluor , Jacobs , those boys ain’t cheap , plus all permissions secured, big ask.

Because they want to run increasingly sour crudes need the process technology to crack the molecule chain further that’s why there is a hydrofiner going in.

As ultimately the customer ,refiners are looking for scale,250 k Bopd,that’s why 1 million barrels are received every couple of days from VLCC, and sorry it’s exclusively Saudi heavy sour which is why Whytch farm oil is all exported via Hamble,it’s commingled with all small Hampshire/ southern oil fields ,along with UKOG and Angus oil, so the figures mentioned, for a refiner are meaningless , 2000, 4000 bopd are not going to get them excited, unfortunately complex refining running FCC’u,s and increasingly catalyst technology are wedded to heavy crude, witness the reacent investment 500 million on hydro finer ect at Fawley, the Weald needs a pipeline to Hamble and all the infrastructure that entails, like a grid sub with 3 x 11 kv prime movers , ( exactly the same as Whytch) and Angus and ukog will not exist if the pipeline ever goes in,a major will want it all, however it’s probably north of 600 million to get a pipeline to Hamble, absolutely huge task, massive resistance from nimbys, hurdle rate for projects are high ,both UKOG and Angus can be excellent little Oiler’s sticking a couple of tankers a day to Hamble ,Perenco will happily take your BKP tankers ... at a discount, If this thing is so big why is there only 1 crude discharge bay at Hamble, that’s got to handle all this Angus and UKOG oii As will as Stockbridge / small Hampshire fields , the arse and expectancy dropped out of this one after BB, when the 6k bopd figures weren’t delivered sentiment dropped off a cliff,no mystery left now, Tin hat on now ,expect a coating, all imo as DHC says ,I hold UKOG but very small amount because of the above,( it’s a fun punt not to be taken to seriously) sorry!

Sting, I am in and out of this stock, depending on where I see value. Sorry I don’t believe in this stock and I don’t believe it’s going to be everything that most people hope for. But frankly who cares, I just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about your news ,I really hope outcome is good. I read comments on here and smile,I probably know more than anyone on here about overall conditions and logistics on moving EWT oil , the relationship with , Hamble , Whytch and Fawley,i I am invested but am not a huge believer in this one, I know what an investment would take from a major,I know this one is not currently under consideration , I don’t post because I made a promise to a friend , it would be a bearish opinion that would get spun as a deramper ,anyway,wish u well
