Phil to suggest that I think is a bit overly optimistic.

We are considered a penny stock for US investors (anything under $300m).

No doubt undervalued. Maybe I suppose if we actually consolidate our position as the Microbiome Market Leader

I just don't know enough about the other 699 or so to state that with any confidence

In 2020 149 biotechs listed each raising $50m or more so about $30bn in total

Imagine doing due diligence on all them to separate the winners from the losers.

4D can at least point to the work they have done to date, their partnerships with Merck and Pfizer etc

Biotech has been hit hard
Microbiome harder still
And we listed via SPAC, which is another problem

700 Nasdaq biotechs.

Fund can only invest in say 10% of them.

Who here can honestly state that 4D is in the top 10% of Nasdaq biotechs? I can't as I only know what 4D is doing and I think it's leader in the microbiome.

A nascent industry with no drugs approved with multiple failings from the likes of Seres and Kaleido so that investors have given up on the sector.

I think it is rude to continually come out with the same arguments without taking into account counter arguments to the points being made and specifically address these points.

Say the fund invests $20m in each one.

That would provide funds for 40 of the 700

That still leaves 660 looking for capital

If you think institutional investors are going to be queuing up to buy 4D on the open market, you are here for the wrong reason.

Do you really think they are going to say hey look how smart those retail investors at 4D are, oh well, let's buy their stock at double the price?

Not going to happen.

What upcoming catalyst would lead them to do that?

The investment case here is that if there's value to be realised it will be the result of a buyout.

Big pharma has more of an appetite for buyouts now that valuations have come down and the likes of Pfizer and Merck are flush with cash.

Pfizer bought a company for $500m yesterday.

4D has not just 1 or 2 drug candidates but a drug discovery platform that has taken 4 into the clinic, with 2 more ready for a trial and others in pre clinical.

Before the biotech bear market started there was a massive increase in public listings of biotechs with major investment by funds and also retail investors trying to make money in lockdown from Covid stocks.

Much of that investment has now retreated and many companies will run out of cash.

I still think 4D is reasonably well placed. I have been invested here since 2017 and every time funding has looked to be a problem, they have pulled a rabbit out of the hat.

I am still waiting for someone to show me a listed Microbiome stock that is doing well.

No White Knight is coming.

It's on the 32% retail investors to invest here.

If none of you have bought more since the slump then maybe you need to look at yourselves and question your belief that you bought at some optimal price and not at the top of a biotech bull market.

Every single Microbiome listed stock are buggered.

Show me one that isn't.

Yes but Angle were well funded and earning income that could take them to break even so that a fundraising was not needed

And do you really think these institutions are going to start buying stock in the open market?

No when they invest they want stock in a DISCOUNTED placing.

The company got the Oxford loan facility.

They also got Merck to invest in 5%
