Yeah I was positive before I got a better idea of the current cash position following the annual report and the revelation that Oxford cash was really $5m and not $12.5m.

Phil you have no interest in discussion of the pros and cons of investing in 4D at this point in time.

All you want the board to contain is rampant boosterism in the hope that enough people buy into the hype, presumably so you can exit your position at less of a loss.

Why should anyone go along with your analysis of the company trials to date? What qualifications do you have beyond being able to read the positive spin on results the company will inevitably provide?

It is relevant that evidence is growing of bacterial links to cancer.
It is suspected that some strains of e coli can cause colon cancer.

If that's the case the likely treatment would be antibiotics to target the cancer causing bacteria although in future the microbiome might offer a way of targeting these bad bacteria with good bacteria.

But we're not there yet. What 4D is doing is using one bacterial strain in 0518 to stimulate particular elements of the immune system to fight cancer cells.

They aren't targeting a specific bacterium for elimination in the way that Seres Therapeutics are with clostridium dificil.

Facts matter

The article is about bacteria. In the body. It doesn't specify that they are in the gut. They might be but they could also be in the urinary tract or the bladder. They were detected in urine. But there's no confirmation of this in the article.

When it refers to not wanting to kill off good bacteria they are referring to the possible use of treatment with antibiotics to deal with these harmful bacteria. Nothing to do with Keytruda in this instance.

I am not aware of 4D currently having a program to treat the bacteria in question. So not sure why people are linking the two things at this time.

Maybe devote more time to analysing the company than your fellow posters.

If 4D was such a great investment surely it would be best to keep quiet and accumulate rather than shouting about it on here in the hope that others buy to drive the price up.

They are also running the 0518 trial at 5 US sites and are set to launch the Bavencio trial at 3 others.

If I had known Oxford were only providing $5m at the outset rather than the $12.5m referred to in the RNS then I would probably have been less exuberant.

I thought Oxford were giving the science a big seal of approval but it turns out they were less confident and the loan looked more like cover for getting a placing away.

You know, 4D raise but can pretend not to be desperate because of the Oxford option.

Sharcus it is thanks to you that I was made aware of the restrictive loan covenant so I appreciate that.

I have held my nerve many times with this stock. They need funding. If the SP rises it may help with doing a fundraise.

If it does fall lower that could get tricky.

Either way I will buy back when funding is clarified. The latest corporate presentation looks like it is geared towards that as there's lots of talk of data and progress updates through 2023 and 2024.

Most of the platforms say they don't lend clients stock.

I have plenty positive to say about 4D.

My concerns are the affect the market manipulation has on the SP when the company is going to need funding in a biotech bear market.

I have become pessimistic due to these circumstances. And the issue with the Oxford funding.

Hopefully these things will be resolved and when they are I will increase my holding.
