Oh wait wait. The @ is used by Porky9 a lot as well.
The plot thickens
"RE: 4D - Onwards and Upwards25 Apr 2022 03:09 @CrustyPete Beat to it by @soundsrisky but Duncan sounded confident. We are also past that 1/4/22 milestone date so I think every chance of an update from Duncan regarding Oxford Finance not to mention other matters fairly soon. At least with everyone returning back this week volumes should hopefully start picking back up. GLA"
Yeah I was looking through your posting. Weird how you pick a stock and then post relentlessly on it and nothing else for a few weeks and then disappear.
RE: Reason for the pullback last week25 Apr 2022 13:25
You aren't alone.
I have been rebuilding a position here. With the long term in mind.
I imagine there has been a bit of an impact as I think near term IPOs will be much harder for exits and also maybe some of the valuations that make up the NAV are likely to be revised down.
Not really concerned by that as just see future value being stored up. I am not a fan of premature exits for an early profit when some of the companies have much further to go.
Couple more links from the work being done at University of Leicester by Prof Brightling and others, which mention £50m funding so far for Long Covid research and treatment.
I think it is possible that 4Ds asthma drug, the Parkinsons candidates and Blautix could all play a potential role as treatments.
In the clinical adviser article I linked to they said Long Covid patients have deficiencies of bifidobacterium (Mrx 0004 asthma), blautia (Blautix) and butyrate producing microbes (the Parkinsons drugs).
Obviously speculation on my part about future areas of research but the involvement of Chris Brightling is at least a link to 4D.
One reason I still have some belief that 4D could be a successful company is the future possibility that live biotherapeutics could turn out to be a treatment for Long Covid.
In this vein, it was interesting to see the lead investigator on the 4D asthma trial, Chris Brightling, quoted in this article on Long Covid this morning.
Well that's what they are trying to do in combination with Keytruda. Obviously the key is doing it in such a way to be able to get enough t cells attacking the cancer to get some reduction. Clearly not an easy task in patients with such advanced cancer and aggressive tumours.
Just hope can secure funding to be able to take all the programs forward
I was aware of that. I just hoped for more responses from Part B given there were 2 from 9 in Part A.
Approval would be based on responders with tumour shrinkage or stable disease with improved overall survival. The latter would take a lot longer to collect data
Phil it's also about getting insurers in the US or Nice in the UK to pay out for Keytruda when the only efficacy data is for stable disease with little chance of a response.
I imagine 4D expected to at least replicate or improve on the Part A results.
I am trying to make an educated guess and not be biased because of what I want to happen or what I want to be true
