Both Vertu and Lookers have sub 3.5 Trustpilot with nearly 30% of reviews 1 star experiences whereas Cazoo have 91% 5 star and only 3% 1 star.

Apparently there's scope for rapid growth as only 2% of used car sales processed online. Are Lookers and Vertu looking to capture the European market? Are they investing for growth?

I get your point about the IPOs but I am happy for MV to hold much of what they have. Quality will out.

As for Cazoo I have added it to my research list. How many used car dealers could get nearly 5 stars on Trust Pilot? I used Trust Pilot the other day. Bad reviews prevented me from getting done by one company (UK domain name but trading from Poland) and I was able to use another who delivered above my expectations.

Tgey have gone from about 18.5k reviews to 19.7k in about 2 weeks on TP. Must be busy

Think they are projecting $6bn revenue for 2024 and have $900m in cash against their $1.4bn mcap.

The first patient has not been dosed on Bavencio.

They need to get the other $7.5m off of Oxford that they weren't allowed to have before they go for another $7.5m from them.

For what it's worth there's a 12% discount at the moment on Edinburgh Worldwide which is all listed growth stocks apart from some smaller unlisted ones like Space X.

One thing that crossed my mind yesterday is the narrative of inflation and rate rises meaning a flight from growth into value as future growth revenues will be discounted.

I can't really be bothered to give it much thought time as I just believe in finding good companies and investing in them.

I get that rate rises can strangle growing companies but why would their future earnings be less valuable than earnings from value stocks.

And surely if value stocks yields stay the same they will be less in relative terms if bond yields rise?

Would you not want to have new value created by growth companies as a counter to inflation?

I also used to speculate that as debt is such an enormous part of the economy its cost must surely reach a point where rate rises become pro inflationary?

What is it with UK investors constantly wanting someone to take over the company whose stock they have bought?

I have seen it on 4 different UK stocks in my portfolio.

I just don't get it. Some people would sell the whole country to foreign investors if they had their way!

Cinven seem like a pretty serious outfit. Recently bought stake in True Potential.

I think the value is higher than 330p a share especially since the companies Ideagen bought are still bedding in and were bought for long term value.

Great news, good to see Thought Machine doing well.

I disagree slightly about exiting on IPO. I think there would be times when it would be good to hold.

Facebook had a difficult IPO but in the following years had multiple increases in value. Or UK investors sold Arm way too cheap at the time.

Case by case decisions maybe better than blanket policy.

It's hard to find in depth analysis of anything. The FT was caught out by their readers last night trumpeting a slowdown in Alphabet ad revenue when in fact their numbers were down due to mark to market on some of their investments.

And Tesla is going to blow up apparently because Musk is buying Twitter.

I have been buying up more UI Path. Mainly because when I was researching Blue Prism everything kept pointing back to Path.

They are getting heavily shorted because people hate Cathie Wood and she's a buyer.

The Path bots don't get sick and they aren't part of the Great Resignation!
