RE: The famous Resolutions 8, 9 and 310 Jun 2022 11:40
Michael it was partly the Oxford thing. When Oliveira was selling, the thought that Oxford had opted to lend 4D money gave me confidence to keep buying. To find out the conditions of the loan were that over half the initial tranch could not be spent unless they raised $44m by 01/04 was disappointing.
It also showed that a raise had been planned to take place prior to 01/04 but for some reason didn't. Maybe because they were operating with the 40% limit and the SP was not favourable?
I also hoped for more from the 0518 interim readout. The stable disease outcomes are noteworthy but if they had achieved 2-3 partial responses I think there would have been more scope for getting an accelerated approval.
As it stands we are going to have to wait a while longer, although if a raise is successful that could actually lead to a rise in the SP even if done at a discount.
If they can raise the $45m it will show that investors have confidence in them and also in the bear market biotech investors are looking for companies with cash runway into 2023/24
