Phil there are some positives around Blautix and the new poster.

Especially the points about IBS having its roots in the microbiome and the MRX platform being able to drill down into the relationships between different bacterial types and how they can cause or counteract the symptoms.

More evidence has been gathered in recent years concerning the microbiome induced causes of IBS, which is adding to understanding of the condition.

My doubts with Blautix are not with its potential efficacy but with how quickly they can leverage the asset to help fund the rest of the business.

On a lighter note I found out today that as long ago as the 4th century AD in China faecal matter was included in a medical text as a treatment for diarrhoea!

If you had been here 18 months or so ago you would have heard Proactive interviews with DP talking about multiple shots on goal that would be major SP catalysts.

Some were delivered, others weren't and the overall market reaction was minimal and we are where we are.

Now we have the same again and while I think good news will be forthcoming at some point, I think all timelines need to be extended unless of course you just want to sit and wait for the buyout which could come at anytime

Dave I don't think the 0518 PC readout will come as per the latest slide. Starting dosing with Bavencio is desirable but not meaningful.

Blautix would be important if a collaboration delivered upfront cash, which is what I was hoping for.

Porky the RNS references some minor additional data from the Blautix trial which comes on top of 2 previous releases of the Blautix P2 trial data.

They are basically dressing up the bad news about the FDA delay and lack of progress with some nonsense about the stool sample data.

Yeah as far as I am concerned Blautix is just the fall back option if 0518 is not as effective as we are hoping.

That is to say I am invested here primarily for 0518 and a future MSD buyout.

If that goes to **** there is still likely to be some value in Blautix.

Guess was just hoping for some positive news on Blautix collaboration as any upfront cash would reduce the need for further fundraising

Dave, 4D promised an update on the Blautix strategy in Q4.

They did not say this was dependent on getting feedback on trial design from the FDA.

So now we are none the wiser as to what the next stage is for Blautix.

Which they would have had for a while since they have booked the slot at Gastro 2021 to discuss it.

I am not happy

The P2 trial completed in May 2020. At the time they said that they were in talks with potential partners. Over 18 months later and still nothing.

Instead of just filling an application for a P3 trial they are trying to get the FDA to say it's definitely OK to proceed on the basis of targeting stool consistency alone without targeting pain reduction. Hence the delay.

Not good

Very bad news. Most were waiting for an update on a potential strategic collaboration.

But nothing like that. Just FDA delays giving feedback on future trial structure.

So the Blautix strategy update for Q4 is that no progress because of FDA Delays

And the plums are try to ramp it to help their friend offload his shares!
