Why would you back a cancer drug that might get positive P1 data (which is only going to be safety data) against one that already has good P1 data and is waiting to release P2 results that could lead to early approval?

Especially so when Avacta is valued at £250m and 4D at under £70m.

In other phases of the pandemic there have been acute shortages of oxygen and concerns that hospitals would run out.

CPAP is a non invasive form of ventilation. So much so that the kit can be taken home and used to deal with sleep apnea.

I think Omicron is creating more issues of a cardio vascular nature with and is inducing strokes and heart attacks.

Just look at how ventilator usage has dropped over the last couple of months in the UK alone whilst cases were surging.

I think SNG has potential as an early intervention therapy but I think there is a lot of magical thinking going on in terms of getting an EUA. They are valued at over £400m.It could get ugly there if the P3 results are underwhelming.

Avacta is also one for the future. It is overvalued at £250m when they are only just now doing P1.

This is really important to get started as it will demonstrate a major expansion of the potential market opportunity for 0518. Rather than just in late stage patients refractory to immune checkpoint inhibitors with no treatment options it is looking to work as a maintenance therapy for bladder cancer patients with Bavencio after chemo.

In business terms 0518 is a drug that would be relied on for long periods of time if it works and the safety profile is key where long term use is likely.

Rather than making the board about the shortcomings of certain posters it would be better to spend time delving into what 4D is actually doing.

On the events page of the 4D website there is a very detailed presentation from May last year focused on immune checkpoint inhibitors and bladder cancer.

Keytruda and other ICIs like AZNs Imfinzi have had mixed results in this indication and Imfinzi was actually withdrawn as a treatment for bladder cancer as a monotherapy and in combination with Tremelimumab.

They will likely be on the lookout for a way to reintroduce it in combination with another drug.

Bladder cancer is also included in the 0518 Keytruda trial

No I had the sense to get out of Avacta at 150p as I could see the writing on the wall.

I think my 4D average is about 60p. So a bit down there but happy to hold long term.

I mean compare the SNG board with the Angle board.

SNG has 300 posts. Angle has 4 and they are waiting very quietly for a major FDA approval. Which even if it didn't come, they have other options

I could be wrong but I sold out of Forte before the crash there.

The atmosphere on the SNG board is very similar to what you got on Tils, Hemo and Avacta before their big disappointments came.

4D has solid proof of concept in non small cell lung cancer and renal cell carcinoma with Keytruda and as a monotherapy where it has demonstrated significant tumour shrinking efficacy.

They also have a IBS candidate ready for Phase 3 and partnerships with Merck and Pfizer.

Phil I don't need to do any further research. I have looked at the company over the last 2 years and have never invested there because I can see it has all its eggs in one basket. A bit like Forte.

I think they would have had a chance pre Omicron and there may be good potential in the future but it's painful to see the hopium there waiting for the results and EUA

Can you explain the actual process whereby inhaled interferon delivered to the lungs will be accepted as a treatment for Omicron which is now 99% of the US cases and is all the FDA care about?

Was just wondering if reason for delay with Blautix licensing aside from the wait for feedback from FDA on trial design is that having a drug out licenced would complicate any potential buyout by Merck.

Blautix could even be a drug they would want to take on themselves. I think they used to have an IBS treatment but it came off patent.

I would not want to have a short open here. Imagine you were short and a red dot appeared and it was the Merck buyout RNS
