I do think it's a shame an "ethical company" like Jupiter would be trying to destroy a company like Avacta.

Have you guys tried any public shaming of them? Contacting media etc?

The Keytruda data was not relevant to us really as it was Keytruda with and after chemo. Also I believe it was showing effectiveness over time on top of previous positive results in that type of breast cancer.

It wasn't sitting on a shelf in the lab like Avactas ADCs.

The market is not interested in off patent chemo drugs. They might be effective but other researchers have been unable to get funding from big pharma for precision targeted chemo.

There is a valid gap for Avacta to aim for but they won't be able to report P2 until at least 2024-25

HarChris if you take investment advice from Myles McCulty you are beyond help.

There are many many small biotechs running P1 and P2 that haven't been bought out.

What do you think makes Avacta so much more attractive than them?

Leaving aside the LFT debacle no one is questioning Avacta's noble aims with developing important treatments to reduce the burden of cancer.

It's just that so are a lot of other companies. Look at what Scancell are trying to achieve. (I am not invested there although I plan to).

And many of them have been hit hard by the collapse in biotech valuations. Avacta's valuation has been distorted by the LFT hype otherwise very few investors would even be aware of the company.

How many posts a day did this board get in say November 2019? Probably about as many as Scancell gets now.

No but I know how long clinical trials take and how impatient most investors are.

I will make money elsewhere and maybe revisit here when they have made some progress.

You could get decent data from the dose escalation but the market won't care until you are running an approval trial and getting close to results release.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as that. I see my role more as one of giving people warnings from outside the Avacta echo chamber.

I did the same in Tils but few listened and they are now stuck with a worthless asset (Avacta not that bad)

I have also tried warning people on SNG as they are the next Avacta once their lung treatment for a disease that is no longer reaching the lungs falls through.

Heard an interesting anecdote yesterday. The head of one UK biotech was having meetings with mainstream funds to encourage them to invest and their 1st question would always be was Woodford on board.

That was apparently their due diligence and they followed him like sheep. Wonder what they do now?

You don't know how it's going until you have P2 trial results.

I am invested in companies with lower valuations than Avacta but that are further down the road and have more credible industry partners.

Wyndrum the valuations are driven in this sector by small private investors with little understanding of the technologies involved or their context in the market.

It took me 10 minutes the other day to start researching the growing use of nanoparticles as an alternative way of safely and precisely delivering chemo drugs like Dox.

Avacta are not unique in what they are trying to achieve. Others are chasing similar goals and my money is on the South Koreans to win.

At the height of a global pandemic the only LFTs they sold were to their own investors!
