Why did Merck bother to have a fireside chat alongside 4D to talk about the benefits of partnership?

I mean they have a lot of partners and they can't do that for all of them.

Merck were quick to abandon Evelo Keytruda combo when things weren't going well

Why are they still here after nearly 4 years with 0518 and in the 3rd year of the nasal vax collaboration?

Someone has been picking up the Oliveira stock as if they hadn't the price would be a lot lower.

I made this point last week. Merck are collaborating on the 0518 trial and can see the outcomes.

P2 has been running for over a year. If it was going so badly they would have walked away by now.

They don't have time to waste on their Keytruda collaborations.

The situation is even worse than it was say 5 years ago.

In that no UK analysts, other than house broker, can cover 4D.

Before Mifid 2 regs they could include research fees in bundled charges but now they have to be defined in full.

And with the pressure on the industry to reduce fund charges no one wants to pay for micro cap research.

Normally a fund would also have a rule about there needing to be a broker note to meet their due diligence.

Maybe, just maybe investors need to have some solidarity and be supportive of management at this time.

Small biotechs are under extreme stress with the current market conditions and some perfectly viable companies will fail due to low valuations and lack of finance.

Rather than taking note of these conditions angry investors blame the companies themselves and find fault sending angry emails to already stressed staff who are already seeing their own wealth impacted heavily by the situation.

How many of those writing to complain would write to thank staff if the company was making them money?

What is needed at the present time is investment by small UK retail investors.

They can then boost the price and the increased valuation will be helpful.

4D is on the watch list of many but they are scared to invest because they think it's going to go down more.

SNG has traded 10 times the 4D volume this morning and people are buying into infailed interferon beta rather than a company with 6 clinical pipelines.

Phil there are some major turn offs for US investors in the present climate.

It's a biotech (see recent FT article about concerns about small biotechs surviving current cash crunch)
is British (say no more)
It is a SPAC (lots of negativity around these at the moment)
It's a penny stock

These are the reasons why it will not make much difference who leads the presentation. Also if the CEO doesn't people would wonder why.

Maybe you have no confidence in 4D but I do and I am continuing to accumulate at these prices.

I think 4D probably regret listing on Nasdaq when they did.

I think Oliveira was behind it, especially the SPAC option and all it has done is impose additional admin costs in terms of reporting etc

The Nasdaq listing does no more than track the UK price.

4D is a penny stock in the US.

It is not going to attract an audience.

They could hire Donald Trump to do the presentation and they would still struggle to attract attention.
