It says 4D is held by the Fidelity Growth fund but it is not showing in the annual report from November.

They do have 4D Molecular Therapeutics in the fund so perhaps there's some misunderstanding. I have seen the companies confused in the past

It doesn't help discussion Michael if when someone points out a blatant flaw in your argument (that 4D should try to attract VC or PE capital when the point of both investment vehicles is to invest in UNLISTED companies) that you completely ignore the point made and carry on bumbling away.

When 4D first listed they did have IIs like Invesco on board.

The others do not have the research capability to analyse a company as small as 4D and they certainly don't want to pay separately for the research.

You keep talking about venture capital. That applies to unlisted companies. Not listed ones unless the VC fund remains invested after IPO but they generally don't as they are just there to get the company to the IPO stage.
