Hi Mike , 25 agm grindrod shipping , 26 Taylor’s nav . I am hopeful that the company will be in profit as has always beaten the indexes . Re Grindrod vote it has to be 75 percent of those who vote . I would expect them to have visibility of the share register and to have spoken to any major share holders . Fingers crossed they succeed
That is a superb entry level . As I have said before I have a very large investment in this company but have always felt very confident about its future given its excellent ceo and team . The London market is a disgrace that penalises a growing company . Grindrod agm is next week which is very important , particularly as the current price is getting near to the buy out offer price. Then the 25th which I am positive about . In the meantime , enjoy the dividend . Very best of luck to all . But lastly , agreed . Share price movements have been bizarre
He was the representative for inl investments who had invested in the company . As you know if you make a large strategic investment in a company you normally earn/are offered a seat on the board . Will be interesting to see the next piece of news regarding inl. If they ever release it .
Can Burt work with anyone ? Only appointed in September , and left just over six months later . Unusual for such news to be in an rns. I wonder if it means the China agreement has issues/ ended and yet again the company has not briefed on the really important subject , for example last years stopping of production .
Really thought this would rise after such excellent results. Also surprised at number of sales of such a successful and growing company . The London stock market is just not a good place to be compared to the USA. I feel the likelihood of this company at some stage being bought out is very high if the valuation persists.
Hi Mike, yes . I believe delisting is the ultimate objective to simplify the structure of the company and further reduce costs . Very expensive to have three listings. Let’s hope they get the votes . Not easy this sort of thing under Singapore law.
This is really good news if successfully complete. Will simplify the company structure and also save substantial monies by delisting . Excellent way to start a Friday
Hi all , update is later this month and important as nav should be up and charter rates although fallen a little are still much better than at start of year . I am hopeful that the figures will further boost the share price…. Plus of course another good dividend
HL CONCERNS. Whilst I have this dividend being paid into II I have another that is paid into HL. Most recently HL failed to credit a dividend claiming that it had been lost on the day as a host of other company dividends had come in on that day and they had been over whelmed so it was never actioned. Three weeks later got the dividend with only an apology. HL require constant alertness.... and chasing. Good luck all
Thinking of investing here but are dividends taxed at 25 percent for uk holders ? Many thanks Anne
I agree with you fully. CEO and directors asleep whilst this now plays out and appear helpless. Up till now I have reinvested dividends but no longer. Will take the cash. Also will reduce when possible but big loss at present. For much of the year a wall of silence from the company and of course no investments
Hi Mike , a great post from you . I have been hugely down on this like many but have continued buying as believed in company. Was obviously concerned about huge losses on paper but always felt it was going to come good. This is very much the start of that so all rather exciting.next figures should be such that the city cannot ignore
Hi riverboy , yes I do . Debt has been paid down which releases more money and the integration of grindrod is really going well and gathering pace . Personally I am very positive about the future . The sad fact is the London stock market does not reward a company growing, it is only interested in immediate results. Secondly it prefers a share issue to fund acquisition's where it can make money which is at the cost of existing shareholders . Taylor’s did not do that . This is a VERY young company which I am convinced from their statements they have the intention of growing . The London market is only interested in today but stronger and stronger results will be impossible to ignore .
All good news and share price improving
One can’t accuse the family of not putting skin in the game. They will be determined to make a success of this given their huge family investment . Continues to give me added confidence
Hi Krusty , I certainly hope they do . I have two investment property mortgages coming up for renewal in late June but that could possibly be too early for any fall . Am awaiting charter rates at 2 pm
Good morning krusty, so yes this time it is me. In my view this is only going one way. so bought more this morning. Given my uncomfortable feeling about the UK I moved some money out of 'safe' financial companies such as L and G into Taylors this morning.
Hi Roger, sadly that was the conclusion I made some time ago and took my hit accordingly. Personally I thought he looked extremely uncomfortable in the interview. Presumably not withstanding my huge backing of this company earlier I will be accused like you of being one of its knockers which seems to be levelled at anyone who now has severe doubts and questions the integrity of the ceo
