On a more optimistic note, I am sure you would be pleased if Wres announce increasing production, access to higher grades and increasing metal prices. I know I would be and that self stated altruism means you would feel the same.

Anyone know the tungsten price? I would expect the demand for tungsten for hardy pointy things and tooling would be increasing.
I would also expect that the short term finance should be going through the final parts of documentation sign off.
Would be nice to. Be informed that the plant has returned from maintenance shut down too. Aimho.

Yep tin is well up on LME, it’s now three times more than it’s low of$15000. So in fag packet times 1 ton production is as good as three ton production plus the costs on it are only one third. all fag packet and imho of course.

Oh well. Unknown then. If they release a RNS with production rolling with improvements using higher grade ore and the loan agreed that would be good imho.

Southwesterner, I would agree with that.valid view. My expectation is that production will be running well by June. The increased metal prices are indeed a big help.
I also note that you do not post solely on the Wres BB, with lots of negative posts day after day for two years. So I would not think of you in the same way as someone that did.

golfers, we dont know all the ins and outs, but yep Aaron was knowledgeable at the setting up stage, perhaps operational production not so much? He did have a great deal of respect for MM's capability and referred to how he had worked with him and MM was very effective. Fernando, said at the time he was going to retire very soon, but actually stayed on longer. As for Pablo his family had lots of business interests in the area (they came from Salamanca) and in essence I think there were many pies they had fingers in, not really a mining man, so don't know what happened there.
Overall though its disappointing in relation to the expectations we had at the time, hopefully production increases and we get that back.

Geng, are you saying the loan is already fully agreed? i dont think you can get a full story until its agreed. mind you if it is, then all well and good (depending on the detail). And are you sure its a loan?
i dont think we will know until we know, and we wont know that until the thingys have all been worked out and through and due process etc etc. I think if we see lots of big buys that may indicate something. All in all i dont know and what happens, happens.

Troajan . From what I saw when there, I would say they are benching in from what is the lake and cutting in. The higher grade ore was nearer the surface as you moved away from the lake. I am not a geologist, and it is just an opinion, but I think the ore body might be at an angle whereby its deeper at the lake bit and rises as you move away. The then mine manager, took us to an area further back and there was scheelite on the surface. Hence, my think8ng on the matter. So I think as the bench’s cut in it will get less deep. Then again there could be more further down. As for it being a dry area, this is validated by the fact that some time ago Franco had a canal built alongside where la Parilla is to bring in water. So expecting dry weather is a reasonable expectation.

Weather and incidents off of the norm can be unexpected. Farmers can end up with major issues in severe weather, it does not mean they are carrying out some kind of defacto risk management over the longer term. Are school buses driving today in the West Country?if not, why do they not have alternative wind proof buses ready in the garage.
Usual work practices are to plan and operate in the usual conditions, how much regard is given to unusual events is based on what is known. For la Parilla, it looks as though the risk of flooding was known, but not considered a very high risk and as such mitigation’s were planned in. The flooding happened, and the risk profile was changed and planed work was brought forward. The issue now has a process for functioning control measures, That is to be welcomed.

With regard to weather warnings and rain and such, there is that which is possible, that which is probable, that which is not likely, that which it is reasonably certain and that which is unlikely. Either way it’s looked at it is ultimately about that which is reasonably foreseeable. When I visited LaParilla, it didn’t look like a very wet place , but sudden downpours in dry places can have a marked effect. On TV I saw some Australian mines completed flooded in an area it had not rained for ten years.

With regard to senior interference, it has often been my experience that it is good middle or operational management that can be the most effective tool. I agree the debt is not good, but if we get to move forward with production at these metal prices that might get rearranged to less punitive rates ( I would have thought). ithink a lot of the previous warrants would have expired now, so their dilutive effect no longer hangs over - and current SP even the ones still in place won’t matter.
On Regua, all that I have read about Portugal and it’s latest legislation relating to licensing etc is not a good thing for lots of miners. Hopefully, Portugal’s need for income will give impetus on their side .
With reference to the ICD money, they will have carried out due diligence, one way or another there has to be something in it for them- I think it’s tungsten concentrate.
In r3spect of the dams, I am pretty sure they were put in after the flooding caus3d issues, so they will be good going forward, but will have done little for the ore and access until now.

And, yes, the list of things that went wrong and they admitted to in this last RNS is mortifyin. However, they have held them up for scrutiny.
So all in all if we get the loan they talk about in the RNS, and we get processing on the higher grade ore with the improvements mentioned, yep I would say I wouldn’t want to be out of these shares this weekend ;)
But I could be wrong.
We shall see one way or the other.
In the meantime, if I have a pulse in the morning, a roof over me head, some fire in the hearth and a bit of food it’s a good start. Dreamingof, fully take on board your points. With regard to smelling the roses, if you take the view that all is lost then is a big loss, if you take the view Wres goes on - then it is a good buy in price: Icd and MM thought it it was a good buy at 6p 5 weeks ago.I think we will go on and so a below 3p seems cheap. Against that, I have clearly been wrong on that so far. I don’t know what will happen , but there have been a great deal of improvements made. So I don’t really know, I just have an opinion.
I don’t think MM is a saint, but he has been keeping it together with what appears to have been serious head winds. I think if he or someone with imperium had been fully on site it might have been better, but then again some times teams are better without constant senior interference. Lots of variables. Hopefully, we now get the loan follwed by good production.
