Troajan, Given there is a lot of doings about commodities and industrial metal shortages and the quietness of today, I should say I wouldn’t want to be out of these over the weekend.

May there be many more days of blue smidgens on Wres as a well deserved birthday present. Given yer pretty dam ugly (given your comments on the matter) it’s only right the universe finds balance.

GW, many of us aren’t in great positions on this one. I am about where you are on this. However, MM put more in and so did CRUX and the fund manager looks to be shrewd with picking up shares in companies at overly low SPs. Given demand on industrial metals, particularly tin which is about 20-25 % approx of output, and all plant improvements .........and particularly the new operational management over the past year- I am more optimistic going forward. This is either as I think as cheap as chips and a bargain or its not. If I thought not I would sell out and move on. I have made and lost on companies over the years, mostly made , but this one is currently hurting.

That 7.65s were buys this afternoon. Cheap as chip s in my honest opinion.

I liked. The photo of the dam, excellent work. The investment by MM was pleasing. I would like to see more photographs of la Parilla so that we can see the doings. A drone film would be good to see what with the new lake dam and diggers and such.

well seems MM has bought in at the placing, he already has put a few million quid in , so something of vote of confidence from, all the more so given he would have knowledge of doings on la parilla etc. Mind you this is contrary to what some were trying to suggest by saying ' he hasnt bought yet' etc.
Unfortunately, his placing does dilute our holdings , however, i prefer the vote of confidence it implies. Now iuf we can clear atlas overhangs that would be a good start.

Kev, clearly the weather for experimentation with homemade sourdough bread and possibly a little punt on sourdough buns ( never seen any of them anywhere).it’s been hot in Spain though, mind you Merida will be 22 as a high and cloudy, so good working conditions, hopefully the chaps working on the la Parilla mine can be most productive in those conditions.

As Q1 was 92.4 tons combined I think Git in referring to greater than Q4 is a reasonable statement , putting 120 tons as a minimum is also a reasonable assumption,( yes that is a little below the 1q4 133t) . Had he been referring to Qi I think he would have said 90 t.

Q1 production was:
· Total tungsten and tin concentrate production of 92.4t
· Tungsten ("WO3") concentrate production of 63.5t
· Tin ("Sn") concentrate production of 28.9 dry metric tonnes ("dmt")
So anything more than that is an improvement, given the figures in the April update from the La Parrilla Production Summary. The April update treferred to 3 shipments of tungsten and one of tin, so that’s approx 60 tons and 20 tons in one month, so that alone almost equals q1, but shipments may not necessarily be production.
I would like to see 150 tons a month, but for this quarter only using the lower grade ore can’t see how they could. In all I think 120 tons combined is not an unreasonable expectation for this quarter, it’s next quarter that we should see the step up increases all imho.

Troajan the water does get used in the processing, them shaking tables and halter skelter things are very wet processes. . As I recall the expectation was that the water from the existing lake would slowly get used up over three years or so, then they would get water from the near by canal. Given they now have the dams they can retain water for the processing. Given the dams are lined this will prevent contamination so not a bad asset and will protect from flooding preventing access.
I am looking forward to increased production.

Troajan, I would expect we won’t get any more news soon as the Q2 figures will be coming along shortly. Mind you if licences get approved in Portugal we will see news. Do you think today’s red relates to Atlas doings? I dislike overhangs.

They could put dolphins in and have pirate ship as an attraction, but they are getting on with mining, which for me is the important thing.

MIB, they just need to be reasonable, but that would be exceptional compared to the last two quarters. We are told we will get improvement Q3, those improvements should be starting to work through I would have thought.three consecutive good months would see a big change in sentiment, and even perhaps a chance at some refinancing a5 lower rates. Increasing metal prices would be good too.

reading this about tungsten, i didn't realise tungsten is needed for touch screens, is that something people use?. here's an extract from the link:
