Troajan - That article contains news of the most excellent kind. Capping the energy at €50 Mwh, really gives Wres a great boost. That may well encourage financial support imho. Loooks like things could be looking up. Regardless of anyone’s views I think we can all agree that this is good news in terms of wres’s s prospects.

GUG, with regard to licence to mine; it is my understanding that the mining has been challenged, but legal advice is that it’s OK to continue - the challenge on this is to be appealed- well that was my interpretation from the RNS.
As to the Blackrock finance and accessing the rest of the 5 million in draw down I don’t know what’s happening. However, you seem to comment authoritatively on the matter and indicate that the money is not going to be released by Blackrock. Do you know 5his to be fact? And if so, how. ?Is there a news release I have missed.

Wilbury, the mines that can hunkerdown and get through this will have a good run coming out the other side imho. For Wres that must mean support by Blackrock. It is my view that we should now be able to produce having put so corrected many things through the long starting time, so if Aston is wrong about the ability of 5he mine to produce - it is about getting through this period. That does look a bit precarious at the moment. But we shall find out one way or the other.
I think if the energy costs are sorted and Blackrock support through the now there will be increased price on tungsten with other mines not producing etc and also the effect of global sourcing diminished by Putins war, leaving the idea of European producers a firs5 choice. Aimho. But we need to survive for it to come true. We shall see.

GUG, yep I didnt use caps lock. so here you are 'M'. I think most people got the gist. By way of further explanation, I was referring to information that I felt was relevant to Wres in terms of energy prices. I don't think I was attacking anyone or their views.
Reasonable discussion is always welcome. So my opinion is that if the Spanish government gets a cap on grid energy at about 50 EUROS then there is every reason to expect that would be helpful. I think last year it was running at 70 euros, but it has touched 700 euros per MWH- which is absurdly high. My view is that if the EU dont suppport capping the price then Spain would have to go it alone without sanction. Then there is the very high cost of LNG . Over my life time there has always been bubbles, but once its all over things change, i think at one time last year they couldnt give oil away- things change and if wres can hunker down its survivable imho.

Dreamingof, The iberian govts have gone to the eu for 30 euro per mWh price cap. The Reuters news up to4 days ago looked positive they are asking and saying €50 is the max that can be tolerated for industry etc. It’s partially agreed, but the common mkt bit and competition is being discussed, so God knows how long that could be. If they pull it off though that would put Wres ( and others) backin the game.

And Wres is not the only company stoping production due to energy costs and supply chain issues. Not good times for many investors and those that work and rely on these places for their income for themselves and families.

Troajan - The uk is making the cable - somewhere near Prestwick I believe. It will be a while before renewables bring the nervy costs down.
In the meantime diesel generators should be cheaper to run than lng at this time. They would only really need to change the power train at the Wres site, mind you requires money- so the big boy is the finance. If that gets accessed that is the key to everything.

Use tungsten on the pointy bits. Given the armaments current increasing production and the lessening of the global market, tungsten produced in the EU should be in demand. If Wres can be getting back to production it could rather good times for it going forward imho.

It was a tungsten mine previously at laparilla and was acquired by Caspian ( Wres). It’s now the Iberian subsidiary to Wres. Fernando had worked here I believe, as well as for rtz think.

OMR, Hope is a good thing. so far we have mitigation coming on energy prices and the trucker strike over. So a couple of steps in the right direction. As for the length of suspension I dont know. I wonder how long it will be and under what circumstnces, but we should make progress imho.
As to wondering, I wondered the other day if other posters have ever posted thousands of posts for over two years on a company they did not like and did not invest in, and then continued to do so even when it was suspended. Just seems unusual to me, and I thought it not normal. WEll it seems that post got tajken down for just wondering.
So OMR, i also wonder what might happen, to wres. However, this Ukraine thing is badly bad and I dont think we have seen all the outcomes yet- lets hope things improve at wres, in the ukrane, across the world and goodness prevails.

Wilbur, some of the bits are large, mostly heavy and not of a shape that fits in vans, and even if they did the transport cost becomes very disproportionate if adaptions are made for the purpose. Add a bit of economy of scale and the supply chain is reliant on lorries.
