Very interesting one this because you are correct market caps are very similar. Depends on whether one tries to buy the other, whether it is recommended or has to go hostile, whether its a merger of equals, whther it even gets to that stage. The one thing guaranteed is that at the moment there are two bods and two CEOS they have to agree to work together to decide who takes control and sometimes this can not be agreed. On the other hand there has to be a lot of lpossible costs savings and synergies with a merger. Interesting couple of weeks ahead. Could be as well somebody else gets interested.

I assume that you mean that the whole is worth less than the parts. The answer to that is quitesimply YES, which is why Sandell wants to break it up. Given time and patience this will increase markedly from these levels. Very little downside a lot of upside. Next update will be very interesting.
