RE: A Game Plan31 Jul 2020 16:43
FG81, the problem is absolutely signing games. To date Bids have signed FM and Codemaster games Grid and Dirt Rally.
Sports Interactive were signed early to mid 2018 and Cody's signed 6th December 2018 - 20 months since the last established publisher signed as we head into August.
I am aware a couple of smaller titles sit in the stable, like Sociable Soccer and Soccer manager, but little is heard of them?
I am not trying to be negative, just realistic, as it seems that publishers (some named are Ubisoft, EA and MC) may be comfortable allowing a Bids and an Anzu for that matter to code ad's into there games and even go into test but do not seem to like signing agreements.
My view would be that the publishers are in charge (after all it is there game and there risk) and they strike the rules - such as you can code into the game, you can test all is working and then you can sell 'test' campaigns to prove all is working as expected.
These publishers will then and maybe only then enter into a contractual relationship.
It is baby steps for all, but I am hoping the baby steps are happening?
