Before the ADR episode I would have agreed with you that LG were a likely seller.
Buying ADRs is an expensive way of accumulating a position - They would not do it without reason.
LG had to wait until the o2 deal was completed anyway.
But just speculation

I believe someone is using ADRs to disguise their accumulation of a large position.
I also assume they believe LG will be a obstacle to progressing their prospective bid.
Just my speculation.

Well that solves 20% of the issue but what about the missing 80%?

Looks unlikely but no one else to blame.
It’s a tough hurdle especially after RMG rose so sharply.
ITV would need a bid before next Wed to make it into the FTSE100.
Let’s hope for better luck next time or a bid!
