Zac, this is a list of my funds

I used to have 11 but reduced to 5 when we got into high inflation and put the money into my dividend shares, started to increase my funds and reduce shares when possible to do so without loss

ZAC, fair enough i can see the ones you have just mentioned are making progress, but some of mine are very sluggish

I don't know about you guys but I'm finding it pretty difficult to grow my portfolio the last few years

I have recently increased my funds from 5 to 8, nothing to get too excited about with them recently, but at least they are all in profit unlike some of my shares, half of my shares are in profit and the other half are under water, quite happy to hold the shares that are paying a decent dividend without loss of capital, such as lgen/aviva/mng but cant wait to get shot of the bad ones as soon as i can reduce my losses on them, we just need something good to happen, it's been like trying to get blood from a stone with some of the shares lately, the worst ones for me being Vodafone, Lloyds and direct line

Zac, I get what you're saying about good past fund performance, but at these times of hight inflation there's is no growth coming from the funds, so surely the dividend income is a better option right now while we are waiting for the share prices to recover

Think most people are disappointed in the current share price, but it's only a problem if you need to sell

Glad you noticed jax, but i will hold my hand up, my grammar and spelling is terrible, please forgive me lol

GutterSnipe, It may be my strange sense of humour, but i think your quite funny, a little bonkers perhaps, just ignore any grumpy ones who think they own this board, if they think anything you or jax say on here will affect the share price, then they are the one's who are bonkers

Dan, your right about about nobody knows, how many years have we been listening to so called experts on here, and look where we are now

we are all just hoping this will be the year this will finally change direction, so far it's doing ok

Gutter, i think your enjoying winding these guys up, i would be to scared to talk to Dan after you've put him in a bad mood

I'm not brave enough for that lol

As long as the share price keeps on rising here it won't bother me what anyone says, let's hope it continues climbing and we will all be happy here

Well at least it didn't drop by 4% as jax and gutter predicted

I don't need to filter anyone here as nobody ever wants to talk to me anyway :-( just hope Gary doesn't jinx this share by buying back in

Very hard to please some of you guys

If it's going up I'm happy, if going down, not so happy, more of the same please

Jax05, Thanks for your reply, you maybe right about that only time will tell i guess, difficult times for most businesses at the moment, at least this does appear to have reached the bottom and is making small gains at the moment, let's hope it will continue to do so

Jax, i wasn't asking you how many shares you've got or how much money you got in your bank account, if your so convinced this is going down, i want to know your reasons for it, as you might be right ?

all i can tell you is how bad it's done in the past, the future i don't know

if your going to put doubts into peoples minds, I'm sure they would like to hear your reasons for it

Don't think it's anything to do with lgen, to be fair all of my shares are struggling in these times of high inflation

best thing about this one for me, is it's one of the most reliable dividend payers, even through the Pandemic, so at least we are earning some money here while we are waiting for the sp to increase

this is my second largest holding next to Lloyds, wish it was the other way around

Hi roofer, yes it was nice to see this jump up a bit this week, to be fair all of my shares got pumped up a bit on the news that inflation was below expectations, i expect more drops in inflation will be the key, you only have to look at the effect high inflation had on direct line

As Android said I'm in it because i can't get out lol, let's hope there's better times ahead for the stock market and poor old Vodafone, the mood is always better here when we can see it rising

Dan, i must be able to read your mind, i was waiting for you to say that, if only we knew :-) just took at look at bt nothing much happening there either, if the sp can go up a little each week i will be happy with that for now

Scaredycat, I believe Narcus was saying, don't have a go at the doomsters as they've got it right so far

let's hope the latest drop in inflation will be a good turning point, best news we've had for a long time as inflation is bad for most businesses wiping out their profit margins

I never thought this share would drop as low as it has, some good news here will be very welcome

the only one that's called this right over the last few years is mole_man, hope he also thinks it's a good turning point?

Scaredycat I'm not sure you read narcus message correctly, never say never about this one it's not like other shares that go up and down, this has only gone in one direction, hopefully that will change, but it's not happened yet has it ?

NARCUS, the doomsters have got it right here for the last 5 years or more and i have been one of them on times, but we all know what at awful share this has been in the past don't we? personally i have lost more in capital than i will ever get back in dividends here and i know it's the same for most other long term holders

But as you just said yourself sit tight and hope the next 5 years will be better or if they are totally convinced this will keep going down and down they may as well sell up, moaning about in constantly every day will not make it better will it?

what are your feelings about it, are you hanging on hoping it will improve

when investing in a share be prepared to be invested for around 5 years, what the buggers don't tell you is which 5 years?

well we have had the bad ones here, let's hope the next 5 are the good ones
