Everyone is entitled to their opinion here guys negative or positive, the over positive posters are just as dangerous as the negative ones

the positive posters have been saying how well this is going to do for the last 5 years, saying how under values this share is should be at least £2 blah blah blah, look where it is now, so who was right?

hopefully it will turn around, but it's not happened yet has it? I'm hopeful it will but i need so see it actually happen not just a dream, just keep it in mind you maybe wrong, that's for the negative and positive posters

Dan, all i can tell you about that, is all of my international funds are doing a lot better than my UK shares, but maybe that's because they are experts and I'm not

hi soton, i think most people are in the same boat, it's not been easy to make any money from the stock market lately

maybe some of the comments from Porsche about basket case Brexit Britain may not be too far from the truth

the only thing to think about now is do you think it will improve from this current low price

Not having a go at Vodafone in particular, just looks like another disappointing year for shares in general, does anyone have any shares that are doing well right now, if so please let us know , can't wait to dump a load of mine, but need to get them back in profit first

Zac and gary, snap again, I'm semi retired, and just want to get rid of some of my dead wood shares, as soon as i can, as i will soon be drawing from the pension insted of adding to it

half of mine are income paying, mainly because i like to see the income actually coming into my account, which is still accumulating only into my pension pot instead of directly into the fund

sorry to all you guys for going off topic, lgen is a very good income share in my opinion, which generally increases each it's dividend each year, but the main complaint seems to be lack of growth, it's just my crap ones i want to replace

TinkerT and astro 999, reading your posts about Isa's and premium bonds, you sound like my wife lol, that's not a bad thing as she is more sensible than myself

Like yourselves I'm fed up with under performing shares and aviv and lgen are my better one's

vod and dlg are a disaster and given up on my Lloyds shares, nothing seems to move them up

next time they get to the higher end of their trading range, such as aviv £4.50 or lgen £3 etc. i will be either reducing or selling off my shares and increasing my international funds from 8 back to 11, the dividends are a big attraction on shares, but not so good when it's at the expense of loss of capital and no growth

Gwm121, fundsmith/lgen global technology/lgen international index are worth a look but not a recommendation, i still love lgen shares as 7 0r 8 percent divi with low risk of loss of capital is one I'm happy to have in my portfolio

Hi Zac, I don't intend selling any of the funds i have as they are all doing ok, but i will be adding more in due course and i usually add to the best performers

It's a tricky business this stock market investing, I'm always trying to do better, unfortunately it's usually a case of trying to learn from my mistakes

As for the shares, with hindsight i could have sold my lgen shares for £3 and bought back for less around £220 or sold aviva for £4.50 then bought back around £3.80 or sold Vod for £1.40 current price 75p, as for my biggest holding Lloyds i keep hoping it will eventually get past the 50p

I will just keep holding on and collecting dividends for now, maybe one day i will make a profit from them lol
