Hardup, I'm definitely with you on that one, but getting very hopeful about this share now, my second largest holding is lgen, which paid full dividend all through the Pandemic, so really would be nice to see some worthwhile returns here now

70P by April would be very nice indeed, maybe a bit optimistic perhaps, but i will be happy just to see this going in the right direction guys, and good point about the buy backs, it's long overdue now

Sam, I was well into profit here at one time believe it or not lol, then came Brexit/ppi/pandemic/inflation, just to mention a few, so kept averaging down during the pandemic, let's just hope we get well rewarded for it soon, one good thing is high interest rates are good for banks

67sam, thanks for that, very interesting article, Lloyds is the largest share in my portfolio 25% more fool me perhaps, will be looking to reduce, but after waiting very patiently for a few years, some of that period with no dividend, would like to see some worthwhile gains first, the biggest problem with Banking shares in my opinion is they are the first to get knocked down when the economy takes a turn for the worse and the last to recover, but at least they are paying dividends again now, hopefully we won't have to wait much longer

This is the strangest share board i have ever seen, who is this plato , has anyone suggested he goes somewhere else to write a book or something, doesn't seem very suitable for a Lloyds share chat board

Dan, of course you have to laugh, i know your taking the mickey, if only we could see into the future though, but don't worry i have ordered more ladders, was fed up of being outnumbered by the snakes, so will soon be climbing again

Dan, at least you haven't lost your sense of humour mate, all i would say is be cautious here for a while, as another poster would say, events can change everything it may all turn out good -:)

Dan, not saying this won't continue to pay dividends and get back up there to the 140s, it may well do and may even Suprise us and do better, but a company with massive debt that struggles to afford to pay dividends, that should not be ignored, and definitely not a share you should invest a large part of your money in, but I'm sure you know this, so who is right mole or cheap shares, maybe both maybe neither, but do you really want to take the risk of pumping everything into this one share with a dividend that's not covered, your money of course, but just saying mate

Thriller40, you keep saying that, but will it or have they already bottomed out, what are everyone's thoughts on that ?

cheap, you should be ok here, you bought back at a good price, exdiv in November and then wait for the sp to rise to 130's and also a dividend bagged
sometimes it's good to listen to negative posts just to make you rethink, but nothing is guaranteed with shares as we all know

agree it's not a share for big growth, but that's why they pay good dividends to reward investors for placing their money here, but you can make a profit on your capital as well as long as you buy at the lower price or top up below your average, and as phyl says the share price always comes back here, you can't say that for all other shares can you guys??
lgen and aviva are nicely in profit with me, while some of my other shares have been in the red for some time, i expect it's the same with most of you, ok maybe just me then -:)

a bit strange this new broadband/phone technology/just switched my phone and broadband to bt, they supplied me with hub plus digital voice phone, so you can no longer connect a phone to the phone sockets, they have to go direct into the hub, meaning my upstairs extensions will no longer work either, they are sending me a digital adapter to make the upstairs phone work, which is basically a digital Wi-Fi bridge, just saying but not moaning -:)

Hi Dan, it would help him if he actually had something to say, can't make out what the shares are going to do, are they going to drop further as we get into winter time, or have they already reached the bottom,who knows just hoping for the best

Hi Morbox, Boe rate announcement on 22nd, and Barret going exdiv on 29th, getting very tempted to buy in now for the dividend, just wondering has the increased rate already been priced in? I'm not sure about that, I keep telling myself to hold back, but also itching to invest now, if only we could predict the next 6 months it would be so much easier, with regards to dlg, just hoping it's reached its bottom now
