Hi soton, could have been a bit dodgy with lgen last week with the pension liabilities, makes me think of it as a bit of a warning not to get too heavy in one share, hoping to top up on vod, but thinking this could drop under a £1 now, so will see what happens next week, i would never wish a share to drop, but if it happens will take advantage of it

allatsea, good article, thanks for sharing, I have just topped up here, think this is a good solid company, problem for me is, I'm too heavy in insurance, also with dlg,lgen.mng,saga, with lgen being my second largest holding next to Lloyds
think i will reduce my lgen shares when the sp has risen to a decent level again, sooner they get rid of truss the better before she has totally trashed our portfolios, better still hopefully a general election, has been a pretty bad week for me investment wise

Dan, your not alone, everything has been beaten down with a big stick, main thing is all the dividends are still coming so far anyway

fela, if you don't mind me adding to that, it's not only the number of years, its which years, you can get lucky or unlucky here
for instance, if you invested here between 2019 and 2021 you would be a very happy smt investor, but if you bought just after the £15 high then very disappointed, for me i would recommend anyone to have a bit of this in their portfolio, but as you say be prepared to hold long term, because you don't know when it will reach its next high

That is the big question now, I'm with dlg/mng/aviv/lgen/vod/lloy/smt and psn, share price has dropped on all my shares, but so far all are still paying full dividends, don't want to sound like a doomster, but we haven't been hit with the cold weather and high energy costs yet, this is not a good time for investors, wish i knew the best way of dealing with it, will make the situation a lot better though if the dividends keep coming

Think we have enough to worry about with the stock markets guys, without arguing about Brexit, whether you wanted out or not, I think everyone will agree on one thing, the government need to work on getting a better trading arrangement with the eu, and if that means free movement of people, at least we will be able to staff our hospitals and get our fruit picked

Oldham, i agree, one more thing to add is the possibility of a breaking up of the united kingdom, as we are only a small island, that would be a shame
But what is the answer now ? Can or would anyone call for another referendum
