Dan, the doomsters are out in force and some are just here to disrupt, it maybe a case that it had to get this bad before it can get better, let's hope they can find the right replacement CEO with a good reputation for turning businesses around

This company has been in decline since nick reed took over, you only have to look at the famous ski slope charts to see that, the biggest argument Dan has always put up here is if you get rid of reed who will you replace him with, that is the biggest challenge for this company now, can they find the right person to turn this into a more profitable company, expect a lot of volatility here for some time i think

Dan, I'm sure you know i was just pulling your leg mate, personally i don't give a hoot who's in charge as long as they can get this share price rising, maybe some new blood at the top can come up with some new ideas to get this moving in the right direction, only time will tell now, not expecting anything to happen overnight, let's hope 2023 will be a lot more prosperous

soton i bought into vod over 5 years ago which has been and sill is the smallest share in my portfolio, and i never thought it was worth adding to or selling at a loss until recently, so just let it ride as the dividends were covering all the holding costs, hoping my recent top up there at 91p will give it a bit of a boost, as you say they can't all be winners, and i get what dogs is saying some posters will be less vocal about the ones that don't go so well

I have to agree it is a difficult decision, i have several funds as well as shares, and i have been watching the profit i built up on the funds slowly draining away since we came into inflation problems, so sold off several of my funds about six months ago and bought more dividend shares, ok a lot the share prices have dropped which in some cases gave me an opportunity to make further top ups, but unlike the funds they can't take the share dividends back off me and so far all my shares are still paying full div, what I'm trying to say is in bad times it's good to have this dividend income coming in whilst we are waiting for the share prices to recover and saving on the selling charges, and if i was to sell a share like Aviva when the sp is rising and reinvest somewhere else, i could end up losing my capital on the next share i bought
just my thoughts guys, if only we had a good working crystal ball

Soton, you are right this is a difficult one, although i have a high average here and made a top up last week, it is still one of the smallest shares in my portfolio, because over the last few years i have kept adding to my other shares on the lows
the hope is that this will get back to the high 130s not expecting this until sometime in the next year and of course there is a chance it will turn out to be a mistake only time will tell

not sure what you guys are expecting here, we all know the recent results were not good, for me I'm just hoping that's priced in with the current sp and it doesn't drop much further, we reached 139.18 10 Feb 2022 so hoping we will see a decent rise in sp sometime next year
what are you guys thinking and hoping to get out of this share
and it would be a big help if you lot could give the insults a rest, or you may find you will be logging in to a blank screen once you have p*ssed everyone off

sorry Gary, i like reading your posts at least i can understand what you are saying, just making a point though that Vodafone and telecoms is not the only industry getting affected by high inflation, we are in difficult times, and we just have to try and buy on the lows and hope things will get better
