If i can ask your opinions guys, as i am now in profit here, i am tempted to sell off some shares, do you think this will keep rising or hit the 50p and drop back down again

Hi phyl, don't hold RR, lloyds,aviv,lgen,mng.dlg,vod,psn and six funds, was a bit of a shock with dlg as the share price had been recovering really well lately to the point i was back in profit, then bang down she goes, nice to see lgen recovering today which is my second largest holding next to Lloyds, just saying nothing is safe right now, but lgen has a good track record for paying and increasing dividend, but we will see where we are come April
best of luck all, let's hope this turns out to be a more profitable year all round

Thanks for your reply Compound, will be interesting to see what developments take place here in the coming months, at least we are now in profit with our last top ups, let's hope it continues to improve from here

let's be honest guys we have has countless buying opportunity's over the last few years, what would be nice this year would be to see some growth in the sp and dividends, well overdue now, remember we have inflation to cover as well now
let's hope some time this year we see see a turning point and get rewarded for all those buying low opportunity's we have already had

phyl, have always been a big fan of lgen, but i am not confident with any of my shares to pay out full dividend this year, just taken a hit on dlg and am expecting others to follow the same trend, maybe not as bad as dlg, maybe a good idea to not sell up but maybe taking some profits by reducing a little bit, sorry mate it's just my opinion on the way things are at the moment, hope I'm wrong of course

I was thinking how well this was doing until today just a couple more pence then i was back in profit, now in a big loss again and no dividends, hope this is not going to be the trend across all my other shares this year got a feeling it might be though, ok i feel a bit better now i have had a moan and shared with you fellow investors, thanks for listening, seriously though no matter what your strategy it's still a big disappointment getting a bad result after you have been watching the share rising every day lately
will not be selling, but also won't be throwing anymore money into this share

i spoke too soon, as dlg and aviv take a big hit, looks like this will be a year where all my shares take a dividend hit

This used to be my number one favourite share, but lagging behind Aviva now, hope it can make some good gains before Aprils exdiv

Mikey, if it can gain a penny or two each week, i will be happy with that, its a big if though

Dan, nothing much to go by, but it reached 139.32 on the 15 Feb 2022, i told you this would go back up why didn't you listen to me ? only joking of course, excellent week on the stock market, more of the same please

Hi Dan, for someone like me who was a complete novice at investing in the stock market, this has been very helpful to me for getting tips and advice from those who have a lot more experience than myself, but not all investments live up to expectations, as you have pointed out to me before you have to forget about what the share price might have been five years ago, and just think about what it is right now and what it could be, if only we knew the answers to that we could get very rich
But if everyone here could be honest, i think most will agree that the majority of shares are under performing right now
I know my pension pot is well below what i was expecting at this time, especially as i have just retired, i think we will just have to wait a bit longer for things to recover

Most of you are saying about the price increases here, that has to be good for a company that's suffering by inflation costs, unless of course they are getting reduced trade as a result, let's hope to next result benefit from it

Gary & Dan, give it a rest you two, i assume your both over 15, you don't have to agree with what anyone says on here but ping pong name calling is a bit childish
It's quite simple here really if you don't think this will go above the current price then don't buy, everyone can make their own decision on that

A balanced portfolio is what works best for me, you won't get them all right, but if you can get more right than wrong you will be ok, unless your very confident in what your investing in of course
but we all all different

Dan, we would all like the share price to be a lot higher, but it is what it is and no point moaning about it, hopefully it has now bottomed out and better things to come next year for Vodafone, it's up to everyone to decide for themselves if they think this a a good buy at this price, personally i think it's worth giving it a chance, and hope the new CEO can make the right decisions to improve the company's performance, to be honest all my other shares are in need of some steroids as well

Nice to see you all in better humour, you was a right miserable bunch before xmas, even Dan is doing the hokey cokey , let's hope it works and turns this around, hopefully this will be looking a lot better sometime in 2023 so chin up
