Gary, that sounds like a good plan, have also been in this and aviva for a lot of years adding on the dips and when i get too heavy sell when it's high, good thing about this one is it always comes back and increases dividends most years

DAVIDBRENT, you and your partner andy seem to spend all your time trying to convince us that this is a bad investment, i don't think you would know a good investment if it bit you on the nose, good luck with your growth shares and hope you don't find out the hard way that they don't always meet expectations, for myself getting a reliable dividend in difficult times like this will do me for now

Just be careful all you guys throwing all your money into this share, as much as i would like to see this do well, in previous years this has gone in the wrong direction after results day, this share has never been a no brainer as some have mentioned here

Well just going on what's happened over the last few years this has reached it's high before results day then gone on the ski slope after it, not sure if this year will be any different, but of course it's up to everyone to make their own decisions which way they think this is going

Mikey, are you expecting this years results to be decent?

There are lots of extreme views on this share lately negative and positive, if only we knew for sure which way this is going north or south then we could all be very rich, just keeping my fingers crossed that something can push this north of £1 as nothing has moved it so far, i will just hold onto my cautiously optimistic views for now

Andy, maybe you should have sold before exdiv which i spoke to you about knowing you were unhappy with your investment here ? for myself of course of i am disappointed with the drop i would always prefer to see my shares in profit, but as i don't need to sell anytime soon as long as this share continues to pay the full dividend until the share price recovers then i will not be too concerned and will possibly add more of it drops lower

Guttersnipe, it's up to everyone to make there own decisions, I agree with sotonspike lgen and aviva have been good reliable dividend payers, but also with Fleccy's views, there are also a lot of investors who think buying vod under a £1 could be rewarding, I expect we will get more clarity on that in the coming weeks
The reality is nobody knows so keep an open mind

dibbieboy1: don't worry the only problem we have is getting this over a £1 again, if we can get there the gutter press will disappear knowing they have missed out? , if so we will see the mood change here, so let's hope things can finally change here for the better but we need to see it actually happen though not just talk

£2.10 for next week sounds good to me sidi, dividend received and capital now in the blue, kind of makes me feel I might have done something right for a change, doesn't happen very often :-)
