Former Tory MP Sir Tony Baldry's aptly named security company, Westminster Group, is due to reveal record first-quarter results on Thursday, but the share price has still suffered in recent weeks from the coronavirus pandemic.

That's because it provides security services to Freetown International Airport in Sierra Leone, which is shut because of the outbreak.

However, the company has seen a surge in demand for its fever screening equipment during the crisis.

Monkshood, in my experience (from memory) they can do either. My expectation is that everone gets a pro rata amount based upon your entitlement dependent on the oversubscription. In an exclusive interview with Safestocks, Shaun Doak CEO of AIM minnow React (AIM:REAT) reveals that this specialist cleaning and decontamination company has benefitted from the high demand for its decontamination and infection control services to eliminate the virus responsible for the coronavirus.

Currently, React is carrying out Covid-19 decontamination clean-ups from everything from police vehicles to offices to manufacturing plants. “I can’t give you much detail, because it’s commercially sensitive IP, however the way we carry out our decontaminations is lot more thorough than many of our competitors, that is for sure. We do ‘before’ and ‘after’ testing to ensure we have decontaminated property to a high standard and certify swabbed areas are clear from traces of the virus. We use the correct chemicals and equip our operators beyond the standards required to ensure their health & safety. We set ourselves apart by doing things the right way.”

He continues: “Just to give you a little flavour of that, we do a lot of Covid-19 decontaminations that have already been decontaminated, allegedly, 2-3 days before. But they haven’t been done properly. The ATP-testing we apply hasn’t been done, which we do in order to certify the property as clear.”

Not only have its 90 staff been working flat out to meet demand for its specialist decontamination services but he also foresees that this pandemic may alter the mindset of people as to the importance of regular deep cleaning. “We’ve all worked in offices that have never experienced a deep clean but I think that moving forwards things may be very different. I think it has to be.”

Another sign of the way things are going from this morning's newspapers - Standard Life are withdrawing from attending future Davos World Economic Forums as a waste of time and money.

It's as good as one could have hoped for in the current circumstances:

- all factories/sites are open
- PEG are a critical supplier to its customers
- train builders still in production and order books still OK
- QRO sales stronger than expected in Q1 and RTS negotiating large renewal contract
- Defence performing to expectations
- financial position is OK with CJRS utilised
- the outlook is uncertain as with everyone, but the above is better than most

An excellent day, with a whopping 20m shares traded, a 19% share price rise - and new 40-month highs.

With the seller apparently gone or nearly gone, this is hopefully just the ground floor of the story if everything pans out.

Good to see 1p being paid now by buyers. Certainly an interesting/encouraging bounce.

Hopefully a reasonable fundraising (or even some kind of loan finance?) would see the share price back to 1.5p or a lot more, especially if combined with news flow.

A great - and clever - gesture by IMO announced today, giving their eClinic video consultation software free to NHS trusts for a year.

This looks extremely promising. It will encourage fast take-up, but will integrate the product into the NHS, which would be highly likely to retain it and pay for it after that first year:

Interesting quote in today's Times from Rentokil about "life after lockdown" - their specialist hygiene business is seeing "an absolutely phenomenal rate of inquiries".

For Rentokil (who are having to retrain their staff) this is a small bonus. For a £3.7m m/cap and sector specialist like REAT...you can imagine the effect:
