Just wondering if anyone was able to offer any explanation for the number of small trades that are going through. Similarly the now frequent price monitoring extensions.
I can only assume that IDE is attracting some interest but the activity seems strange.
Thanks for posting those links LP, and good luck with any future investment you may make here.
I believe Coretx was the previous company name, which had a torrid history. You may want to check out some of the previous tax losses. The management seem to be getting the ship well in order... Who knows things could get interesting if we get some promise of future profits.
Agree with the comment about debt. However, if I understand your figure of 30.4m correctly, this would be the total repayable in around 5 years (including all interest charges). Over this same period of time, and based on your estimated annual revenue of 25m we may conservatively hope for total revenue somewhere (perhaps significantly) north of 125m.
It’s also worth considering that the lenders of the finance have a very vested interest in long term success here given their very significant and costly share holding.
Thanks for your replies, and sorry I didn’t get the chance to respond earlier.
Agreed, the apparently tiny proportion of shares available to us PI’s certainly looks to have made price movements here very sharp in both directions. Trading today looked interestingly twitchy again.
I don’t doubt what you say is going on here Canoncan, and I am tempted to give Ian Smith a call. I’ll let you know if I do.
The potential ambitions, partners and long-term story would certainly be pretty special.
Good luck, and thanks for your posts.
Thanks for the interesting posts, and different points of view.
IDE certainly looks like an interesting opportunity to me now. I’ve invested here and hope that it can recover or exceed former value given time. I do understand V111JAS concern that us mortal shareholders may not realize the absolute fullest potential of IDE if it were to be absorbed prematurely into some part of MXCP’s joint venture with Liberty Global. However, I’ve had CSI on my radar since the involvement of Richard Griffiths, and Kestrel, and for this reason would agree with Canoncan that fullest potential could be north of their investments.
I would also assume that the share distribution here would keep unwanted interest firmly locked out, until the time or the price is right. In the meantime, I would be very happy to see more stable growth with some more regular news flow from the company. I’ve not tried to contact the company directly because I’m not sure what they would be at liberty to say (pun intended).
I’d love to understand the ambitions of the board here, but I do not doubt the capabilities and connections of the trio: Ian Smith, Andy Parker, and Max Royde.
I do understand the risks (I’ve witnessed them just a couple of months ago), and I hope I’m not over-estimating the potential rewards. Time will tell.
Thanks Raleigh for those detailed posts. I’m invested here too and share many of your views. I would note that the past performance of investee companies (particularly IDE) weighed very heavily on the sp here. The 4x decline in MXC sp (from near £2 to near 50p per share in today’s terms) was sudden enough. However MXC have since backed IDE to the hilt (both financially and managerially) and now are more strongly geared than ever to their turnaround, which appears to be underway, and may be spectacular. If successful, we should see a a strong increase in NAV together with a very positive change in sentiment over future sp value here. I wouldn’t stop there though, because in addition, the Liberty Global deal offers MXC a clear strategy and customer for such prospect investee companies. I have bought into that vision, I hope it proves to be right!
I guess that would be MXCP (amongst others)
Meanwhile, back at the mothership all is quiet!....zzzzz zzzzz zzzzz
Interesting question yabadaba...Presumably MXC still see some value in both business, although the markets don't value them strongly at the moment. Would they be a good fit for the joint venture?
Well that looks like the order (for about 3,000,000 shares) being worked to me. I'm guessing someone has a strong opinion as to which way this is going. GLA
Certainly very true with regards CTP and MXCP...I hope so here too. I see no reason why not. Time will tell, I guess.
This sounds like another cracking appointment. MXCP seem to be building quite a team. I wonder what's coming next...surely it can't be too long before we find out. Watch this space
