I think you mean the inventory valuation would have to be £32 billion. SYME’s revenue would be 2% of that, so circa £640 million in this scenario. I’d be very happy with 3-5p by next year.

I wouldn’t have thought perishables such as transient foodstuffs would be of interest to SYME or fit into it’s model. Plenty on other sectors for them to target though.

Agreed, people need to remember that SYME is simply a fintech platform connecting customers with funders. The banks are not competition. In fact, they will be valuable partners. In the self-funding model, partner banks will not only originate customers from their own client base, but also provide the inventory funding, thus being beneficiaries of the 4-6% coupon. It’s a win-win for everyone, so this will be hugely attractive for banks all over the world. Simply ingenious by AZ.

With regards to the US rollout, if you listen carefully at the end of the interview, he says that 2022 was in the company prospectus but he anticipates that they’ll have to accelerate those plans for the start of 2021, so excellent news.

Hi Aim, thanks for the calculations. However, I think you’ve used the revenue figures to calculate the P/E ratio as opposed to the earnings, or profit, which I believe is expected to be around half the revenues.
