All eyes over the pond now to see the next direction Burford takes unless they can convince the market during the conference call.

May I be so bold as to ask you what you think the SP will drop to if the 1Q24 results are not that spectacular or mediocre? I have in mind 1180p ish and have a chunk of capital ready for further buys at or around that level. If the results on Monday are good/v good, my capital will be used to buy in gradually and further add to my existing shares. After that it's sit tight and wait for any new impending news.

This is Burford after all and difficult to predict at best but thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have.

With Burford finishing at $15.44 (£12.32) over the pond and 1Q24 results due at 12.00pm BST on Monday 13th May, Monday morning trading could prove to be worth a watch and quite entertaining.

Helium was up

Feathers were down.

Balloon prices were inflated.

Pencils lost a few points.

Paper was stationary.

Fluorescent tubing was dimmed in light trading.

Knives were up sharply.

Cows steered into a bull market.

Elevators rose, while escalators continued their slow decline.

Light switches were on and off.

Weights were up in heavy trading.

Mining equipment hit rock bottom.

Caterpillar stock inched up a bit.

Shipping lines stayed at an even keel.

Hiking equipment was trailing.

The market for raisins dried up.

Coca Cola fizzled out.

Tea and Coffee both cooled off.

Sun peaked at midday.

Batteries exploded in an attempt to recharge the market

Toilet tissue touched a new bottom.

Nappies remain unchanged.

And finally,

Burford did what Burford did and will do whatever it wants to!!!

MarketWatch now showing traded volume as 1.91M shares. SP looks to be holding.

Yes USA shorts maybe key here. My chart showed further major resistance at 1216p ish which I thought might hold. We may see that 3rd gap fill sooner rather than later now. This is Burford after all!!!

Holding funds back just in case we do drop further - bwtfdik?

I also have major support at 1239p (ish) but this is imo only.

Moreover, it will be interesting to see if this price holds.

SP holding up better than I expected (not yet fallen to NYSE level). My charts are showing that there were 3x gaps to fill before today's opening but as I type, one of them has now been filled.

Took some off the table at £12.50 as I thought a pull back was inevitable. Mixed feeling for me. Who knows where the SP will go next???

Possibly, threats of Iranian retaliation against Israel once again sparked a selloff in stocks.

Market spooked.
