so the well is expected to cost $16.8m. $3m trp have already spent. Farmout is $15m carry - so does that mean trp get backcosts of $1.2m redeemed?

TRP were approached by one of the big oil majors last year regarding a farmin to Namibia assets. I think it was confirmed by rns but can't remember exact dates. You would think with OP where they are and the world hopefully dealing with covid that interest should be back at the table recent huge onshore find will help confidence. Same logic applies to SA and we know Cameroon could be very close also. I have read Recons comments saying it took Norway 30 wells to get to this point andthey have done it in two!. Yes trp are defo in with the big boys areas inc Exxon, same applies to SA assets. I think both areas will become unlocked hugely in the years ahead - need some luck!

smithy - have you looked at trp other assets? look at the oil discovery in SA next to trp! that is easily possible
