The risk of a serious fire from an EV is far greater than it is from an ICE car....that is why they have banned from parliament's underground car park here, and various car parks around the world (most notably in China, where their cheap, poorly made rubbish is an even bigger risk than higher quality Western offerings)

Thank you, that's correct. EV fires are lethal because of thermal runaway/chain reactions. The risk assessment has obviously decided that the chances of burning down an historic building are not worth the virtue signalling that can be scored. I believe that in China, some car parks ban EVs for the same reasons.

I don't know which cars ignite the most per number of units. But it's a bit like saying there are more pickpocket offences than murders in London. It might very well be true, but one is much more serious than the other.

You'd have to be bonkers to leave an EV plugged in overnight near your house. Wait until insurance premiums start reflecting the risk and damage!

I was told in 2020 by a consultant anaesthetist who lives next door that the leak was from Wuhan and was common knowledge in medical circles. I won't mention exactly what it was they were trying to do but it's not sinister.
