It's because even a basic minor collision is leading to a write-off, they are not prepared to take any chances that a battery might be compromised and repair those cars for fear of mitigation.

The first one to break ranks and lower ICE premiums will lead to a massive soar in milk float premiums. The government will of course step in with more taxes on insurance premiums, and this will drive ever more people off the road

The risk of parliament succumbing to an uncontrollable fire is significantly higher if an EV sets alight than if a proper car sets alight. In fact they've been parking proper cars in underground car parks for many decades without significant risk of bring the entire building down.

They are allowing EVs to charge and park far away from parliament, precisely for the reason that if they go up in flames they won't take down the parliament building with them. This was my argument from the first post you utter moron!!!
