The idea that car batteries could power homes when the intermittent power is off has one very obvious and fatal flaw.
What powers the car if it's powering your house?
Then throw this into the mix, almost all of Britain's 30 million homes are heated by gas. probably 95% of families are near enough skint, in fact one in three families holds less than £100 in "rainy day savings" for something going wrong. The notion that everybody's heating system can be replaced is nothing short of ridiculous, even when subisidising us with our own money.
There are other issues too, there simply isn't enough lithium available to power the UK by battery on standby, let alone the rest of the world.
Time to put the BS to bed and open coal, nuclear and gas power stations, remove subsidy from milk floats and let good old market dynamics decide which products succeed and fail. And EV's will absolutely fail.
