How many times do you go to a recycling bin and it’s mixed with general waste?

Is that the councils fault? They put it all in place and the minority ruin it, wasting the efforts of others, including the councils and our council tax funds!

I think you’re over generalising it all. There’s good and bad everywhere. Posh folk litter as well, because they feel the rules don’t apply to them!

Lots of people in deprived areas litter because they can’t be bothered and the rules don’t apply to them.

Same problem, different reasons, same end result.

I’ve confronted both types of people for littering and tbf, it’s the same obnoxious response either way!

Anyway, let’s hope all that litter ends up in a PHE facility soon and not blowing around the environment! Amen

dusty - you can't over simplify a problem as multi faceted as this. do you really think there is one solution to solving any problem of this size? taxation is probably one small part of a multi pronged solution. who pays the tax, everyone, including company's.

smoking is a classic example, it's massively decreased because of taxation - not saying i agree with it, but it's worked, especially for the younger generation!

a lot of companies have to use cheap non recyclable goods, because if it's not tied down, some idiot will nick it. massive problem in catering.

comparing the uk to dubai is just daft, they're almost 'self sufficient' :))

i have a relative i visit regularly and do a lot for. they live on a council estate (deprived) and i can tell you, most people there do not recycle. in fact, the recycling bins are 100% of the time contaminant with normal waste, so i imagine the council have no option but to treat it all as household waste.

yes, they have bigger issues, but don't be the person that blames the gov for everything that is wrong with this country, we're not kids, people just no longer want to take responsibility and expect to be hand feed by society !! probably the only thing i will agree with castle on, is so many people just do not care and have no respect for anyone or anything.

in certain areas of every city/town, there's family's who just can't be bothered and are happy to leach off the system. their parents did it, so they'll do it; 4 kids by 22, no job, no proper education, no aspirations etc, but enough money to buy drink, ***s, drugs and carrier bags ;)

I only have a small holding left, after selling 200k shares a while back at my B/E. Really sad to see the SP and company where it is after such positive progress. Either there's a serious problem somewhere, or there's just no demand for the products!

They'll need to leverage the Ammonia Cracker and raise more cash. If it went private, that's a lot of money to find.

A takeover would be more likely, not that I'm suggesting that.

It is very disappointing, as the company has some great products, just don't know what the problem is. Every time there's good news, it's another false start.

I am looking for investments that are phenomenal opportunities to make sums that will literally retire me most likely my mid 50s so I need a lot more suring up here before I put my cards in.

Sounds like you’re looking for a golden goose!!

By the time a share is ‘shored up’ the phenomenal growth opportunity will have passed and Joe Public will be buying in.

You’re then in to a long term hold, making 100 to 200% over a prolonged time period, assuming everything works out.

It also depends how much you’re investing. If you’re looking to turn £10k in £100k, then that is very very hard, but requires a lot of risk. If you put £50k in and the share doubles 1p to 2p, you hit the £100k and move on to the next one, leaving some in for long term growth.

Apparently that’s not good enough for you, but I’m afraid if you aren’t prepared to take a risk until things are shored up, you’ll never experience the phenomenal growth you mention.

There is nothing wrong with 100% growth, if you’re putting decent money in!

For now, it will be good if the SP can hold the current price during the closed period!

Next news will be November at the earliest, then half year results in December!

Following a PDMR purchasing shares, it means there is a closed period, which I'm pretty sure lasts 30 calendar days.

This means the company can't release any price sensitive news during this period, so that pretty much rules out October.

Obviously this won't prevent Castle stating as fact that news is imminent in October and 2p, 3p BOOM TIME!
