They're no good to PHE, as they only need one FTU unit before they either buy or a customer buys a TCC unit.

Someone should report Helikon and whoever loaned the shares if this goes any higher. They are twice currently twice what they owe and that has to be a big financial risk that needs mitigating / calling in.

This gives you:

The Demonstrator Unit = 3/4 tonne / day – tested.

The FTU (Feedstock Testing Unit is a larger demo unit of the original test unit) = 2.5 tonne / day – should be assemble before the end of 2024.

The TCC (Thermal Conversion Chamber) is the proposed ‘commercial unit’ for customers = 40 tonne / day - no information and no dates have been mentioned / advised. No doubt waiting on results of the FTU.

The FTU is not a commercial product and is only 1 sixteenth of the commercial product. It is unclear based on the below statement if PHE intend to actually produce a final full scale test unit or try and sell one straight to a customer. If the latter, I imagine it will be heavily discounted, as the customer will not expect to be burdened the capital risk of an untested product, 16 times the size of the test unit. Below is company statement on this:

‘The FTU is essentially a much larger version of the Demonstrator Unit and is a scaled version of the proposed commercial Thermal Conversion Chamber (TCC) which will allow testing of the commercial operating plant to be carried out under controlled conditions. The commercial TCCs are expected to have capacities in the range of 40 tonne per day. It is anticipated that this will enable the Powerhouse technology to be demonstrated in practice, independent of building the commercial unit and hence give comfort to potential investors that the technical risk can be mitigated.’

The Demonstrator Unit has a capacity of 750kg waste per day. In 2022, the Group announced its intention to enhance its R&D capacity by establishing the Powerhouse Technology Centre at Bridgend. A purpose-designed Feedstock Testing Unit (FTU) is in the manufacture stage and will be installed within the Centre during 2024. The FTU will have a capacity of 2.5 tonne per day of waste. This is 12 months behind plan due to Mitchell Driers going into liquidation in late 2023 after months of being assured that our kiln was being manufactured.

The price of hydrogen / KG will vary greatly on it's purity. What have PHE claimed on this? Is it 99.999% or 99.97?

The market for their hydrogen will confirm the level of purity they're expecting. I assume this will have been announced from the equipment testing?

As before, I agree there’s money to be made here, especially on news spikes. Divyup highlights the red tape and many hoops to overcome before the delivery of physical plants for customers can be completed and turned on.

Pat - very possibly regarding the II’s, it’s just some of the blatant ramping on here would suggest there is enough going on that they would be jumping to get involved. But that is t the case.
