I also agree that the original announcement did describe it as a preliminary agreement but the whole thing is a dog`s breakfast nonsense.I have seen many agreements but none as bad as this . For example the prelim says a SPA will be entered into but a year after it says the prelim agreement has become binding.
I think we can only ignore all this verbiage and leave matters in the capable hands of UGC. I suspect there is method in the timing of their approach. If bondholders consent IS required , just about the only thing that is simple is that they will not give it.

we had a shock about the sudden big drop in gold sp but the facts are :-
sunday evening in new york -us uk closed, asia just opened but japan singapore closed for holidays . someone sold 54 tons in 20 minutes at a time there would be few buyers. obviously not a rational act .
The price actually drop $100 the main advantage was to trigger stop losses/ set sell prices by others, create panic but also to put gold under a cloud for as long as possible. job done.
The seller did this because wants to BUY gold cheaper and it now looks to have stabilised.
