Europe drops premarket ahead of strong data.21 Feb 2020 06:45
Shares on the European markets traded lower in the premarket on Friday as the focus went to IHS Markit data reports scheduled to be released later in the day. In business news, Allianz SE posted that its revenue in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2019 grew 7% on an annual basis. Around the same time, the official data showed that the number of coronavirus cases reached 76,723, while 2,247 people died from the disease so far.
The DAX traded 0.14% lower at 7:34 am CET, while the FTSE 100 dropped 0.23% at the same time. The CAC 40 lost 0.18% concurrently.
The euro was flat against the dollar, selling for $1.07920 at 7:35 am CET. At the same time, the pound gained 0.08% compared to the greenback to go for $1.28919.

Gold in premarket is currently $1631.88 + 0.76% The eu trade an hour earlier than the U.K. so the price could go either way before the U.K. begin trading but it surly looks like the recent run is set to continue.
